Halloween was, weirdly, the one day a year that Tobias actually liked to wear his uniform. It had become a tradition for him to wear a costume that left his uniform basically intact. In past years this had meant a muggle businessman, someone going to his own funeral, and a Slytherin, along with a couple of others. He had never had the occasion to do a couple’s costume, though, and that opened up so many possibilities for the final rendition of ‘Vincent wears his school uniform right and calls it a costume’ theater.

They had elected to go with a magician and the sexy rabbit who lived in his hat. As a result, Tobias was in his white shirt and black pants, neatly pressed and fully done up. His black dress shoes had been shined, possibly for the first time since Halloween. Instead of his Hufflepuff tie he had a kerchief tied around his neck. It was rainbow colored and would pull out endlessly, if he decided to do that trick. He also had a black cape and top hat, both with red accents like a muggle magician, and his wand was charmed to look like the silly thing a muggle magician would use. He might have done this bit anyway, and should have thought of it years ago. It was better with the sexy rabbit, though.

He had worn most of the costume as they set up the Great Hall earlier, so the Prefects already had some idea what was going on, but it would still be a good chance to show off. Layrette, being her normal prissy self, had ducked out of the decorating long before he actually needed to, and now she was late anyway. Tobias stood in the dungeons, tapping a foot impatiently and waiting on her. Still, when she appeared in all her sexy glory, he couldn’t even be mad, and instead just held his arm out to escort her to the Great Hall, a crooked grin that spoke only of trouble stuck on his face.

They practically swaggered into the hall instead of walked. The first stop was the punch table, where the Head Boy took the smallest of samples from each pitcher, knowing that Malfoy would have spiked some of them. Shockingly, the idiot had spiked every single bowl, even though there would be children present, since the ball was open to all students, not just years 4 and up like last time. He muttered a few choice swears, waving the magician wand over one of the pitchers and syphoning the alcohol out the best he could, then attaching a sign to that bowl that said For young students and wimps. That was probably the best he could manage, along with checking back every so often to make sure it stayed unspiked. He shrugged and moved on, checking a few of the tables that were still empty to make sure that everything had come out alright, and give the room a chance to get a good look at himself and his sexy rabbit.

When he was certain that everything was cool, he turned the cocky grin on his girlfriend, finally. “Shall we show the student body how their supposed to dance, rather than the fucking on the floor they seem to favor?” Rather than waiting for an answer he placed one of her hands on his shoulder, grabbing the other one, and placing his free hand loosely on her waist. He guided her through a pick waltz that matched the beat of the song effortlessly, sliding and spinning across the dance floor. He effortlessly steered her around the other couples, his natural grace taking over where he had forgotten some of the proper steps of the only dance his mom had ever managed to teach him. Still, it was a fun show, and he was sure his girlfriend, not to mention anyone that was watching them, would enjoy it.

The Head Girl had managed to leave the decorating and preparation party at least an hour or two early, pulling rank and saying they had it all taken care of so that she could go to her dorm and get ready for the evening. Laurette took a long, relaxing bubble bath first thing, soaking away the stress of the planning and ordering people around. Being in charge was exhausting, really.

Once her bath was getting cold, she dragged herself out of it and dried her body with a quick spell, drying her hair and making it perfectly set in her usual bob. She stayed naked as she worked on her makeup, using her wand again of course. Her eyes had sparkly black liner in swoops to the side and her lashes were so thick it was borderline ridiculous. She looked hot as she put on some pink lipstick and gave herself a matching dot on her nose.

Laurette wiggled her nose a bit and smiled at her reflection as she summoned her costume, slipping the ears on her head and making sure one was nice and bent while the other stuck straight up. She pulled on her cute pink thong then before pulling the white strapless leotard up her body. It had a corset-style top so it would stay up and hug her body in a delicious way, and the top of it was fluffy where it exposed a good amount of her cleavage. The same fluff was on each hip as well, where the leo was cut nice and high, exposing the maximum amount of her muscular legs. She grinned at her reflection, working the white thigh-highs up her legs and adjusting them with a sticking charm so the pink satin bows would stay exactly where they were meant to be- front and center.

With white satin gloves pulled up to her elbows and secured with a sticking charm just like the thigh-highs, Laurette only had to slip her feet into her sparkly pink heels and she was ready for the night. She checked the clock and noted that Tobi had probably been waiting on her, so she charmed her pretty perfume bottle to spritz her body with the scent of sugar and coconut. It was her favorite perfume, and it made her sigh rather happily. Now it was time to grace the school with her presence.

Making sure her thick cotton tail was stuck in place, she pranced to the exit of the common room, wand stowed down the side of her corset-leo. She opened the door and bounced into Tobi’s arms, giving him a quick kiss that left some pink on his lips, then took his offered arm and strutted into the hall with him, knowing the two of them were quite the hot couple. She was rather bored by his need to fix the punch and check on everything, so she stood there yawning and tapping her foot while he did what he had to, waiting rather impatiently for her fun to start.

Soon, however, Tobi was back and Laurette was smiling a true, though pompous, smile. He wanted to show them how dancing was really done? Well then. She could definitely do that. When he led her in the waltz, she clung to his body, making the formal dace an erotic sort of journey through the other couples. It was full of sharp twists and controlled movements that were utterly perfect, and she stared at him with intense dark eyes even as they moved with the fast steps. It was perfection. This was everything she wanted.

She grinned a devilish grin when the song ended and she pulled away from him, pulling her wand and transfiguring her heels into her pointe ballet slippers, light pink still with lace wrapped about her ankles. She stowed the wand again as the next song began, starting in on a tight spin, only using the very tips of her toes to perform it. She threw out her other leg as the song progressed, slowing the spin a bit as she moved her body up and down before leaping out and doing a sort of back handspring into a split, still performing the sinful ballet the entire time.

Her dance continued with devilish moves, showing her flexibility and refined way of moving, everything right to the tee as she had practiced. It was the first time she’d really performed in front of people, even more so in front of Tobi, and she was aiming to impress. She spun quickly as the song came to an end, leaping into his arms when the music stopped, panting at the intensity of her performance. She hoped he was impressed, because she couldn’t even speak. She was much too exhausted from the show she’d just put on.

Costume

Heading back down the stairs from the ROR he took the stairs two at a time.  There was a nervous shake to his hands but there was nothing he could do about it.  It was just something that happened sometimes when he was full of nervous energy.  The door was activated and would stay so until twenty minutes after eight.  That would get the Dark Lord the time he needed to enter.  His presence would not be necessary to escort him any further into the castle.

Ducking into the common room he let out a deep sigh. Luca was dreading this ball more than needed but he couldn't help it.  Letting out a deep breath he pulled on his greenish flight suit he zipped it up in the front and then dropped a pair of dog tags on around his neck.  It was a half ass attempt at a costume but it wasn't completely horrible.  Sitting down on the edge of the bed he laced up his black leather boots and then let the pant legs fall back into place.  Grabbing the aviator shades from his nightstand he slid them on as he headed out the door.

He prided himself on being fashionably late at every event and this one was no different.  Glancing around as he walked in he made a quick assessment of the room.  His brother was standing at the refreshment table looking at his cousin and Potter and if looks could kill the entire room would have been on fire by now.  Deciding the drama wasn't worth it, he walked in the opposite direction past Black, Brown, and an unfamiliar girl dressed as some type of fairy.  She wasn't half bad looking but he was a man on a mission that night and he couldn't afford to be distracted.

Finally he found his target as the music changed.  All eyes were on her as she made her way around the dance floor.  It seemed as if she had found her confidence when it came to dancing for others and even he had to admit she looked amazing gliding across the floor.  His eyes narrowed considerably though as he watched her leap into Vincent's arms.  Arms he would like to rip off the boys body and beat him with.

Lettin out a deep breath he finished his circle back to the drink table pouring himself a glass, wrinkling his nose at the burn.  Well at least someone was smart enough to liven it up a bit.  Pouring a second glass he turned back around his eyes still on the dance floor.

Screw it, he thought to himself, what do I have to lose but my pride.

Striding over to the couple, he gave her a minute to catch her breath before tapping her on the shoulder.  "Seems your ankle is feeling much better LeBeau, so why don't you let me take you for a spin around the floor."

An army of acromantulas from the forbidden forest storm the castle and barge into the Great Hall. Giant, hairy, eight legged spiders quickly converge onto the mass of students attending the Halloween Ball, on the attack.

Tobias was quite proud of himself that he had actually managed to pull that dance off so well. It probably helped that Laurie clung to him more like a second skin than another dancer as he did it, and that any sort of dancing seemed to come naturally to the French girl. They stopped, and he was about to get something to eat when she transfigured her fancy heels into the ballet shoes that were familiar to him, and the reason she was the tiny dancer. He froze in place, jaw dropping a little even before she began to move. Was she really going to dance in a crowded room? The careful, reserved Head Girl that he was used to would never do such a thing.

The dance she put on was amazing and sexy, and if the Head Boy had known that ballet was anything like this, he would be entirely more cultured in his summer and Christmas life as a muggle than he was currently. He had the distinct feeling that it generally wasn’t, though. These were probably the sexiest moves she knew, and they were obviously for him. Anyone else might be allowed to look, but she was going to his bed after they were done here, and the sexiness and flexibility she was showing were things he was definitely more used to in that environment.

Tobias could only grin, speechless, and hold her in his arms were she landed, panting with exhaustion. Unfortunately her show appeared to have attracted the attention of another Slytherin, and he knew far more about Laurie and her dancing than the Hufflepuff wanted to think about right now. He was about to tell the other male to kindly go the hell away, that he and Laurie were together this evening and it was staying that way, but all hell broke loose in the converted ballroom before he got the chance.

Laurette was still more than a little tired from her amazing show of dancing it looked like, so Tobias set her down, carefully placing himself between his girlfriend and the nearest threat. “Make yourself useful fighting these things or go somewhere else where we’ll be a smaller group and less of a target,” he snarled at the other male, voice nothing like his usually easygoing manner. Then he began waving the wand carefully, shooting spells, raising shields, defending younger students, and a dozen other things, one after the other without pausing to think. If he did that, he would realize that some of what he was doing to the spiders was incredibly violent, and that they were likely to all die anyway. He might also have to look up and see who the hell had just run into the danger. It seemed much safer and smarter to just keep muttering spells and minimizing the damage to the student body without thinking. If half the castle died tonight, Dumbledore would never listen to another word he said during his time as Head Boy.

The way Tobias looked at her made Laurette feel like a queen as she lounged in his arms, panting still from the exhausting way she’d just performed. It was definitely worth it, though, to see that look in his eyes. When Luca approached, she felt her heart clench as she readied herself to tell him off for attempting to interrupt her and the Hufflepuff she was obviously here with. As a date. Her boyfriend. She thought the boy would have figured out that he was a side thing for the Head Girl, but apparently he had no idea how she worked, nor did he pay enough attention to the rumor mill. Or at least it would appear that way.

She was about to tell the boy to leave them alone when a clicking noise made her look toward the entry to the transformed Hall and her heart nearly stopped in her chest. “S-s-spiders!” she shrieked as Tobi pushed her behind him. She didn’t want to be behind him! She wanted to be far away from here! Oh, they were so creepy! Laurette hated insects, but more even than that, she loathed the eight-legged creepy crawlies that were skittering toward them at an alarming rate.

“Oh, Merlin, why are there so many of them?!” she was nearly crying now as she tried to remember where her wand was. Once she’d finally found it, Laurette had jumped on to Tobi’s back and wrapped her legs about his torso in an attempt to avoid touching the things. She started waving it in complex motions that would have the creatures hacked to bits despite how thick their natural armor was. She could thank her brother for the knowledge of that one.

Laurette saw the Death Eaters streaming in as she took aim at a particularly large spider and she shuddered. She’d recognize Fletch anywhere, even if he was covered with a mask and cloak. There he was. That was her brother, and he seemed to be heading their way. Her breath caught in her throat and she forgot to move her wand and actually curse the arachnid that was about to attack her and her boyfriend, but it soon fell thanks to a jet of vibrant green. She followed the spell back to Fletcher’s wand, and she shuddered.

“Tobias, please don’t do anything foolish. Please remember he just saved our lives…” she muttered into her boyfriend’s ear as her brother slowly made his way to the couple, more spiders falling before him even as her own wand fell uselessly to the floor.

When Luca had signed up to help the Dark Lord in to the castle, he had never imagined something like this would happen. As he turned around and damn near came face to face with the huge spider baring down on him he could not hold back the shudder that passed over his form. Digging his wand out of his back pocket he wasted no time in making his way away from the pair as the head boy yelled at him to split up.

It seemed it was just in time to, as more spiders filtered into the room the Death Eaters appeared. But instead of standing there idly and watching the spiders work they actually jumped in and started firing off curses. That only seemed to confuse the boy even more. If the Dark Lord had sent the spiders then why would they be attacking him. Then it dawned on him if the DL did not send them, then who did. That was a worry he would have to deal with later.

Scrambling around he scanned the crowd trying to find his brother and the threesome he had been with earlier but in all of the chaos it was all he could do to keep himself out of the way of hexes. Turning on his heel he ducked out of the way of another spider trying to make his way to the edge of the room so he could get a better handle on the situation. This was out of control nuts and it was only getting worse.

Eventually after five or six curses later he finally made it to the side of the room, pushing a group of crying girls out of the way, "Be gone you fools lest you become the dinner of one of these spiders," he scowled at them as they finally took of running. They had to be Puffs, they were the only ones to stick around looking stupid. He had had enough. Heading for the door he walked out, shoving along a group of Slytherin first years, "come on you dunder heads, back to the dungeons with ya."
