The Young Wolf is dead, as is the old Lion, and the ruthless Stag, the Iron Throne is still in turmoil after most of the five kings perished but one is persistent enough to not give up.
Stannis Baratheon continues his hunt for the Iron Throne and will not give up until his head is either on a spike in Kings Landing, or he's sitting on the Iron Throne.
Whilst many are scared of what their petty wars for thrones may bring, the Nightswatch is instead worried that the White Walkers, having conquered nearly all of the territory beyond the Wall, may strike and usher in another long night, and a new generation long winter.
