Walking into the hospital wing took effort. His feet and body felt heavier then they should, he felt sick, and knew he was going to pass out at any moment. Collapsing onto one of the free beds had been his plan. Unfortunately his depth perception was off and he ended up in a chair with his upper body slumped against the bed. Not having time to debate what would cause less energy, calling out or casting a spell, Silas went with kicking the frame of the bed.

The nurse seeing his bloodied state hurried over. He wasn't sure what she was saying as all his concentration had been on staying awake and keeping himself focused to get here. The name of the hex managed to get out of his mouth before he shut his eyes. Until a resounding slap had him wide eyed and staring. Reaching a bloodied hamd up reflexively to touch his stinging cheek.

"You can't sleep until you've taken these blood replenishing potions!" Madam Pomfrey informed him. His right hand had been moved, his left shirt sleeve removed from the elbow down. Silas waited and watched as she quickly and expertly closed up the wound then used ditanny on it. Pomfrey was a no nonsense woman amd used a tone that had the prefect doing as requested. When instructed to take the vile potions and get in the bed he did so. She wanted him to stay for a few hours until she was sure he was fine.

When Pomfrey retreated to her office, Silas lifted his mended wrist up to his eyes. His finger traced the pale scar he now bore. That would teach him to be quicker. Dropping his arm back to tje bed, the prefect planned on sneaking out. He was no longer in any danger and would rather spend his 'recuperation' in his own bed. A shower and a change of clothing were also in order.

Shifting to a sitting position, legs dangling off the bed, he went to stand up. And promptly fell flat on his face. The damn woman had him drink a sedative! "Sodding women!"

Maneuvering his hands flat against the floor he went to push himself up and blinked when he saw shoes. They did not belong to the nurse and the teenager wanted to sink into the floor. Now his day was complete having someone witness to his embarrassing predicament.

The fourth year could honestly say she had never been happier than she was that day that professor Snape was not teaching potions that year. Otherwise Aurora would have spent twenty minutes getting the tongue lashing of a century and been reduced to tears most likely by the end of it all the while being in burning pain from the boils that had covered her arms.

Typically the ravenclaw was decent in potions but today she had been required to use frog spawn. It was utterly disgusting and the girl had not wanted to touch it more than she could help which lead to a miscalculation in how much she put in her cauldron. This led to her potion exploding all over herself. Thankfully Aurora had the good sense to cover her face and head with her arms so those had received no damage. Unfortunately her arms could not say the same.

Professor Slughorn had given her a strict talking to to for a few minutes about how there was no room for prissiness in potion brewing and then sent her off to the infirmary to get fixed up. It was a bruise to her ego that the potion had blown up at all and so she took her professor' swords with a grain of salt. Madame Pomfrey, a busy bodied stout little woman, rubbed some cream on her arms while grumbling about how it was only a few weeks in to term and already they were blowing up potions and castle walls.

The girl had opened her mouth to state on her own behalf that she had not blown up any walls but just then the doors to the hospital wing flew open to reveal a boy that Aurora knew as Silas Lestrange. He was in her house, and a year older than her. She only knew of him from the announcement posted in the common room regarding the new prefects that year. He didn't look too worse for wear but he did look a little pale and didn't seem to notice either herself or the nurse who immediately moved to check him out.

Now that Madame Pomfrey was otherwise occupied Aurora took the time to study her arms. The angry boils were now gone, thank Merlin, but her arms were still red and tender. It seemed she might be there a while. The girl got comfortable on the hospital bed, prepared to wait for Madame Pomfrey to finish up with the boy so she may ask for some more of that cream when a resounding smacking sound brought her wide eyes around to find the boy face flat on the ground.

She looked around to see if the nurse heard but after a moment of not seeing the woman rushing forward to help Aurora took it upon herself to approach him and offer assistance. "Care for some help?" She asked him, standing directly in front of him.

Several scathing replies went through Silas' mind at the girl's question. What came out of his mouth was a sarcastic, "Whatever gave you that impression?"

At least it was a fellow Ravenclaw. Although that could be worse then someone from a different house finding him in such a compromising condition. Looking at the girl he tried to place her and recalled his surprise when a Greengrass was sorted into the house of eagles instead of snakes. Knowing nothing else about her, Silas wieghed the pros and cons of either accepting or refusing her help. Not wanting to spend any more time then was forced upon his only option was to shelve his pride. If the nurse came back she'd make him stay when he'd rather not. A quick once over from what he could see from the floor showed Greengrass wasn't in critical.

"If you want to help maybe you could grab something that cancels out the sedative that woman gave me." After a look at her arms he commented off-handly, "Might want to get some Star Grass Salve for yourself, Greengrass."

Maybe an anti-paralysis potion would work as a counter agent? Oh he was so going to pay the woman back. Maybe slip something into her tea. Better yet, he could find a spell that would work and have the effects a bogart did. Blinking heavily he swore and let his forehead touch the cold stone floor. The cold only helped a little bit. Silas was not relishing having to request anything.

The girl let her arm drop back to her side at his sarcastic remark and narrowed her eyes on the boy she knew only by name and face. "Yes, quite obviously you do need help. I was only questioning whether you actually wanted it or not. But seeing as that pureblood pride doesn't allow room for much more than arrogance and sarcasm I'll take that as a no."

It was at this point that Aurora stopped pitying the boy and felt he deserved to lay there face first on the ground. It wasn't her fault that he was in that position and she wouldn't stand for him taking it on her like it was. She actually hoped more people arrived to see him in his current state. Maybe a good amount of humiliation would do him well.

She was hard pressed not to roll her eyes when he spoke again, knowing it was not a good idea to cross the nurse even as a small smile played on her lips at the thought. He had some nerve, she would give him that. Without a word to the boy on the floor, Aurora strolled over to the many shelves full of potions and such and searched out the balm he suggested. Upon finding it atop one of the shelves that she knew before even trying that it was out of her reach, the girl attempted in vain to grab it.

"Actually it was a question to your intelligence. Seeing as its obvious I need help whether I want it or not. Hence why I asked for you to find something that counters a sedative."

Watching the other with narrowed eyes, Silas sighed. Why did that bloody yank have to aim for a spot that he coukd bleed out and die? Maybe she did want to be a murderer like her namesake. Frowning at the thought, he knew that he could not allow her to get the best of him agian. If she eanted to play for keeps next time, he would indulge her. His mother wouldn't be pleased to know he'd been bested as well as off his guard. But why did the ruddy nurse have to go and make it so he couldn't leave the infirmary?

Blinking as he watched his fellow raven jumping he resisted the urge to smack his head on the floor. Honestly? She was a witch not a bloody muggle and she was jumping instead of going for her wand. It was no wonder then that neither Daphne or Astoria mentioned their reamatives. "Oi, are you practicing for when you live a mundane life or have you forgotten you're a witch?"

Or was she waiting and playing for time? Placing hus hands firmly against the floor and pushed. His arms felt like rubber but he managed to get into a sitting position. Now how the hell was he going to get up without a repeat performance?

Evangeline thought she was safe. She had been running away from her brother and his snake friends that kept following him, for about a month now, and she had actually believed that they had lost track of her, and had given up. Though to her utter surprise, they were plotting their revenge on her, and that was not something pretty.

With her mother dead, her father and brother had finally shown to her who they really were. Cold, unloving, abusive, and every bit dark. Both of them have the Dark Mark, and with her brother being a Slytherin Seventh Year, things were getting harsher.
He had been abusive since after their mother's death, but as he got older, things were getting worse. He did not hold back, and did anything he could to humiliate and hurt her.

So today, was another one of his famous 'attacks', but it was the worse he had hit her ever.
Today, it was not just him, but every person in his little gang.
She was returning from the Library, oblivious to what was waiting for her around the corner, when she was pulled into an empty classroom. She had no time to react. They took her wand and started hitting her, giving her several bruises and a split lip.
After they were done with her, they threw her wand her way and got out laughing. She couldn't move for a while. It was as if she was frozen there. At some point, it felt like dying, but she knew she wouldn't die this way. Not from the pain.

Gathering all the strength left in her, she grabbed her wand and muttered some spells, healing some of her wounds but not completely. The bruises were there, looking really bad, and there was blood running down her chin from her split lip.
But she didn't give up.
She had to go to the Hospital Wing and take care of her wounds, but she really didn't know if she would manage to arrive there.

Thankfully, she dragged herself to the Hospital Wing, groaning all the way there. Her wounds were burning, and her lip hadn't stopped bleeding. It was bad, but she didn't want to admit it. If her father was here know he would use the Cruciatus Curse on her, for sure, just to show her what true pain was, but she kept telling herself, over and over again, that he was not here, and that she was strong.

When she walked inside, the sight she was facing made her groan even more. Yet, she managed to raise an eyebrow at what she was actually facing, trying to make something. Was Ravenclaw attacked or something? Or was there a Ravenclaw Gathering at the Hospital Wing?
Her eyes darted from Silas, to the girl, then back to the boy, not avoiding eye contact. She knew that he would hate it that she was here, since he was too proud, if anything, but it's not like she wanted to be here.

She bit her lip, flinching immediately as the already open wound started bleeding even more, and broke her eye contact with Silas, knowing that he would probably ask her about what happened to her later on. They weren't really friends... Heck! She had no idea if he remembered her name at all, but after what happened between them, there had to be some curiosity there.

Gulping, she walked over to the shelves, not talking to the girl as she picked out some potions, and anything else she needed, and took a seat on the bed opposite of Silas. Avoiding eye contact, she started taking care of her wounds, starting off with the ones on her legs.

"Right. Wand." The ravenclaw ceased her tries to reach the balm and flushed red, doing as her housemate suggested and remembering she was a witch. Aurora could have died right then and there and would have been happy for it. It wasn't usual for her to lack common sense in such a way and it was doubly humiliating given who she had a sudden lapse in intelligence in front of.

She levitated the balm down from its shelf and didn't waste any time in opening the jar and applying it to her arms. While she did so another girl came in who looked worse off but said very little and her uniform gave her away as another ravenclaw. "Is there a school wide hunt for ravenclaws?" Aurora asked of the silent room as neither of it's other occupants looked about to speak.

She pocketed the balm just in case and grabbed a pepper up potion for the boy. That should cancel a sedative. Walking it over to him she didn't think his current position would help with drinking it. Aurora would have taken the initiative and helped him into a sitting position but she wasn't too sure he would appreciate being touched. This left the witch with simply asking him, "How would you prefer to do this?"

Silas smothered a laugh of amusement. It was funny how many people relied heavily on magic underestimating mundane things. Then there were people who were the opposite and relied on magic as a last result. Or those that were a bit of both and he wondered which category Greengrass would fit under. At least she took his advice and got that salve for herself. Why the mediwitch used that nasty orange paste instead of the other he hadn't a clue. Unless the woman wanted to 'teach them a lesson'.

Eyes tracking Evangeline's movements, Silas quickly cataloged the injuries. Narrowing his eyes he looked away focusing on the other girl and ignoring the spanner that was Evangeline Faye. Cocking an eyebrow he commented about the fact that there were three Ravenclaws on the hospital wing. "Did a Slytherin try to teach you about something or for you to be not yourself?"

When she'd come back to where he was sitting, Silas eyed the potion. Putting all his weight on his right arm, he held out his left hand. "You could hand me the potion unless you wanted to do it personally?"

Not knowing why anyone would want to do thar if the person was able to do it freely themselves, Silas moved his head to the side in consideration. A touch of sarcasm and humor laced his.voice. "You know romance in hospital is for romance novels and not real life?"
