It was a place she had never before stepped into and that alone was enough reason to do so, but the girl who was fast becoming known as the brightest witch of her age had other reasons for seeking out the infamous dueling chambers. For one, there was only one year left before it would be their NEWT year, and Hermione needed to brush up on her defense spells. There was also the added factor that currently her sixth year was not going at all as she had hoped in the ways of friends and life meaning the bushy haired witch had more than enough frustration to go around simply because she for once did not have or hold all the answers.

But, of course, the real reason could not possibly be either of those because that would be far too obvious and anyone would guess the Gyrffindor prefect were getting a super head start on her NEWT cramming. No one would possibly guess that beneath the bravery which was instilled in every Gryffindor and the brains this certain lioness possessed was a scared sixteen year old girl with a weight most grown men couldn't carry. It was her job to have the answers. It was her job to analyze the situations and see past the surface to find the solutions. It was her job to be Harry's best friend and to support him, but how could she possibly do any of this when her mind was befuddled and ensnared with thoughts of her raven haired friend that had nothing to do with friendship and everything to do with more than friendship.

Hermione had sought out the dueling chambers because she knew her best ideas came to her when she was not actively searching for them and to be honest with the way things were looking this year was going to be even more dangerous than the previous one and the bushy haired Gryffindor thought the better prepared she was the better off she was. She was about half an hour into her dueling practice when she heard the door to the room open behind her. "I am not quite finished yet." She said hoping whoever it was would take the hint and leave.

The Head Girl had been trying to get a bit of practical application of Defense in for nearly a week now and kept running into road blocks. If it wasn’t a need for reprimanding, some other ignorant sod thought they owned the damned school. Didn’t they know this castle was hers? The French girl huffed and made her way down the hall, heels clacking on the stone floor as if announcing her path and warning her peers to make way.

She arrived at the dueling chamber with wand in hand, other hand smoothing her pleated skirt and petticoat before straightening the badge on her robes. Laurette entered the room and nearly screamed when she found it occupied. The prefect’s words grated on her last nerve and all she wanted to do was hex the know-it-all to within an inch of her life. She wasn’t even really using the room properly! Why should she get to hog the space when Laurette would actually put it to use?

Obviously, she shouldn’t get to do so, and that was what kept Laurette moving forward and glaring at the girl without uttering a curse. “Little girl, you are not even using these chambers to their fullest potential. You are wasting the space with your bushy brain, and I cannot possibly allow it to go on,” she said coldly, glaring at the prefect with a hand propped on her hip. “You might not have thought you were finished, but I must insist that you are. Now run along like a good little thing and do some homework or go sandwich yourself between the two boys you always run around with. It’s a wonder no one has decided you are some kind of dog for them both. It seems quite obvious to me,” she sneered, looking at the girl as if she was nothing but mud beneath her heels.

And really, what more was she? The brainy witch was just a mudblood after all. Laurette found it very disturbing that such a creature was allowed to be a prefect, let alone parade around as if she was smarter than everyone. The French girl was clearly the most intelligent in the castle, no matter what others might argue. She twirled her wand between her fingers, ever staring at the girl with intense eyes full of hate. “Run along then. The real witches need to practice.”

The Gryffindor witch was hard pressed to keep herself from groaning out loud when she heard the voice of Laurette LeBeau, the Slytherin head girl. Haughty, prideful, and spiteful didn't even begin to cover the ways in which she could describe the snake, and she didn't want to have to deal with the ignorant older witch any more than strictly necessary.

It did not mean however that under any circumstances was she going to allow the other witch to push her around and out of a space which Hermione had clearly beaten the girl to. Like it or not, the head girl would have to deal with the fact that the Gryffindor had gotten there first, and was under no obligation to forfeit the room to the Slytherin.

The words spat at her were no surprise, being a muggleborn guaranteed such treatment these days, but it didn't mean they didn't hurt. More so than hurt her they angered Hermione. She was tired of being put down and sneered at simply because her parents were muggles.

She was the pride of Gryffindor house. She was more intelligent than any Ravenclaw and a damned well more clever than any Slytherin. She had worked hard and pushed herself well beyond her own limits to earn the respect of her peers and she was tired of bigoted, thoughtless, immoral purebloods trying to put her in some labelled box and take away all she had worked for.

That day was quite possible not her day for dealing with such ignorance the female snake possessed because out of all that the girl said, none of it angered Hermione or had her bushy brown hair crackling with magic like the last few words spoken. "Excuse me? The real witches?"

Her tone was one calm before the storm most people knew better than to provoke, and usually meant someone was about to be hexed in the next year. It was common knowledge that Hermione was what most referred to as a triple threat. Powerful, intelligent, and brave. She was a force to be reckoned with, and anyone who ignored that usually ended up regretting it in one way of another.

In this case, Hermione took a trip down memory lane to third year, when a similarly arrogant, miserable little toerag like LeaBeau had took it upon himself to put Hermione down because of her muggle heritage. The Gryffindor witch stalked right up to the older girl and cranked her arm back, letting it fly forward and the action was so fast there was no way the older witch could avoid it, and Hermione's fierce look didn't change as she felt her fist connect with the head girl's nose with a sickening crunch.

She knew she had probably earned herself a month of detentions just then but the satisfying crunch of the Slytherin girl's probably broken nose was well worth it in her opinion. The lion felt much better having taking her frustration out a little but there was plenty more where that came from. Hermione, normally a passive-aggressive person, seemed to have finally reached her limit. "I'm just as much a witch as anyone else, and definitely a better one than you. Perhaps you should remember that, and then maybe your face won't take a beating."

The Gryffindor stuck her nose in the air superiorly and lifted her head with determined pride. She wouldn't allow anyone to make her feel inferior. Her hand griped her wand tightly and the muscles in her body were tense with anticipation. Hermione was certain she wouldn't be leaving the room without throwing a few hexes now and she welcomed the coming duel with pleasure.

Laurette was quite proud of herself when the bushy haired girl realized just what she’d said. The magic was crackling in that ugly bush she called hair, and a cold fury was clear in those chocolate-colored eyes. Oh, it made the Head Girl giggle with glee! She’d definitely managed to ruffle the little Prefect’s feathers, and that was a win in and of itself. There was nothing she wanted more than to prove her superiority to the stupid mudblood, and yet, the girl seemed even more determined to fight just that.

The speed at which the younger witch cocked her fist was alarming, and Laurette could do nothing but let out a pitiful scream before her nose crunched and her pure blood was flowing over her lips and down her uniform, staining the white blouse a deep crimson. The spoiled Snake stomped her heeled foot and covered her nose with both hands, trying to stanch the flow of blood even as she knew it would continue until she got to the nurse.

“You little bitch!” she screamed through the coppery mess, stomping again as she tried to figure out what she could do to get the know-it-all back for this. Oh, that stupid mudblood had painted her own target on her back, and she’d be seeing some definite action from that.

Waving her wand in a complex little pattern, Laurette managed to keep the blood at a light drip for the time being. She wasn’t done with the Lioness yet, and she’d be damned if her nose took her out of the fight before she could even get in a blow. “I fail to see how fighting like a dirty muggle proves any superiority as a witch, Granger,” she hissed. Her hand was clenching so hard on her wand that she feared it might break. The girl was incredibly angry, and she was ready to kill.

“You are a useless creature. An abomination. You shouldn’t even be in this school!” With that, the Slytherin shot three curses in a row. One gouging spell, one stinging hex, and one that shot a jet of air at such high temperature that it caused third-degree burns to sprout on any skin it hit. That one was a special dark curse that Fletch had taught her over the summer. She’d been dying to try it out, and there was no way the idiot Granger could avoid all three.

Laurette smirked through the blood, looking rather deranged as she assessed the damage done. Now they’d both probably wind up in detention for a while, but it was worth it. Oh yes, beating Granger was definitely worth it.

"Maybe it only proves that you're twice as likely to get beaten LeBeau." The Gryffindor didn't even hesitate spitting back, the adrenaline now pumping hard through her veins. There was no chance of Hermione backing down from this fight. Someone needed to put the Snake in her place and the brown haired witch was only happy to take up the mantle.

She regarded the slytherin with a watchful eye, seeing the fury build up until the girl screamed out her rage and released her anger in three powerful curses. The first Hermione dodged easily because she had been prepared, but the second hit home on her wand arm and the third was a narrow miss thanks to the Gryffindor's moving in just the knock of time.

The stinging in her arm made it difficult to keep hold of her wand but it was easily ignored. Hermione was much more furious because that last spell was not a school spell. The tension mounted higher with that revelation and Hermione paused only long enough to reply with, "I belong here more than you do."

The Gryffindor moved with precision, her wand movements so practiced it was like an extension of her own arm. She sent a disarming spell first, knowing it unlikely to hit because the other girl's first reaction would most likely be to put up a shield. Hermione had gone up against full grown witches and wizards, and enough of them had been pureblood for her to know that purebloods relied solely in magic in confrontations and fights. This gave Hermione the upper hand if she got close enough to knock the girl on her arse. If the slytherin could fight dirty, so could she.

Next was a stunner, and she pushed as much strength and magic into it as possible, just like Harry had taught them. Having practiced this idea last year, they had seen it work in action. If it were strong enough, it would break through a shield. She followed up with levicorpus, a useful little spell that would have the Slytherin upside down if it hit it's mark. Her spells were sent in rapid succession, and Hermione waited a moment before calling out, "Avis! Oppugno!" Sending out a flock of birds to attack the Snake, pausing in her movements to see the effects of her launched attack.

The Head Girl watched with rage dancing in her dark eyes as Gryffindor’s princess dodged her first and third attack. The stinging spell would smart but it definitely was the least horrible of her tirade which made her seethe. Why couldn’t her new spell have hit its mark? It seemed the bookworm was too lucky for her own good- Laurette refused to even entertain the idea that they might be evenly matched.

Laurette’s shield was strong and threw off the attempted disarming with ease, but the natural defense couldn’t hold through the intense stunner that the younger girl sent next. Both spells seemed to explode as they cancelled each other out and the raven-haired female employed a bit of ballet to avoid the next attack. The mudblood probably hadn’t expected it, but Laurette was formally trained in ballet, and she’d perfected the art of using dance in combat.

The Gryffindor’s fourth spell came as a bit of a shock to the gracefully spinning Laurette, and she shrieked as she fell from her pirouette, twisting her ankle and shielding her face from the sudden attack from a flock of birds. The creatures pecked at the Slytherin’s arms and face, seemingly aiming for her hidden face. It made her blood boil and she screamed the incantation for her brother’s steam curse. The screaming twitters of the birds was a truly wretched sound as they were basically boiled alive. Laurette had a sick grin on her face as she rose to her one good foot, twisted ankle held gingerly off the floor.

“Now you’ve gone and made me mad,” she growled. Her wand movements were so fast one could hardly follow as she sent three more bursts of boiling steam at the Prefect. Feeling daring, Laurette lifted her ruined ankle and got up on one pointed toe, wand held in her fingertips as she started to spin. With each full rotation she sent another scalding jet at the younger witch. Let her try to avoid all of those!

The Gryffindor had to give credit where credit was due. Lauretta LeBeau may be a prissy, selfish, arrogant stick in the mud, but she could duel. Hermione was not lucky enough to escape the first two of the spells, and they hit on either side of her. Her robes were singed, and the stinging feeling of burns flared up her arms. "You evil troll!"

Hermione did her best not to let any noise of pain escape her. In the next few seconds her incredibly intelligent mind was focusing not on the pain but on a defensive strategy. The Slytherin may be older, but Hermione doubted she had the kind of experience she herself did. The bushy haired Gryffindor witch was one of the best at thinking on her feet, and was known for not buckling under pressure but instead thriving in it.

In a split second the witch dropped to the floor laying flat on her stomach while the older witch shot spell after spell as she spun, each one sailing over it's target. Hermione took this opportunity to send a bat-bogey hex and an expelliarmus at the other girl. It was only a matter of seconds all this happened in, and the Gryffindor didn't stop. Rolling over once she hopped to her feet, sending a spell that would have a blindfold covering the other girl's eyes if it hit.

Now panting from exertion, a fierce determination lit the chocolate brown eyes as Hermione sprinted forward, and just as suddenly dropped sideways onto to smooth surface of the floor in a skid like maneuver. This had her skidding across the floor and she aimed a cutting hex at the Slytherin's injured ankle and followed up with the full body bind curse. The girl scrambled back to her feet quickly and crouched in a defensive mode, checking to see if she hit the girl with anything, doubting the Slytherin had been able to avoid all of her spells.

The good thing about her spinning routine was that Laurette had a shield spinning around her form. Of course, it didn’t completely protect her from everything but it did seem to do well at repelling the bogey hex before her attacker’s magic found a hole in the shield and slipped a disarming spell through her defenses. Her wand shot up in the air and out of her hands and Laurette screamed as she was blinded by some cloth over her eyes.

The spinning stopped and she teetered on her good foot as she clawed the cloth away from her gaze just in time to catch her falling wand. Unfortunately she hadn’t caught the instrument in time to avoid the slicing hex that had her already hurt ankle staining her knee socks a vivid scarlet. “Oh bollocks! Protego!” she yelled, shielding herself from the body bind even as she fell to the floor. Her body simply couldn’t stand on one leg while she bled out and wobbled. The Prefect was doing a number on her and it was really getting ridiculous.

Laurette noticed that the other girl’s robes were charred on each side, and she had to smirk. Those burns would have to be stinging about now. She’d be getting some blisters too, and those would not be comfortable with any sort of movement, especially that of casting and dodging hexes. In all reality the girls were both rather badly done in, yet it seemed neither was willing to give up. If someone didn’t come by and stop them soon, they’d fight until one of them passed out- or worse.

The raven-haired Head shook her head and smirked at the Gryffindor, pure evil dancing in her dark eyes. She wasn’t afraid of fighting to a point of passing out. This was a thing of pride, and there was no one prouder than Laurette LeBeau. She raised her wand and hissed a curse, cackling as liquid ice shot from her wand, coating the floor as it shot toward the bushy-haired Gryffindor. As soon as the spell touched something it froze solid, making the Slytherin grin with evil glee. This would definitely be bad for the Gyffindor’s burns.

Skyler was wound so tightly that she felt like a coiled spring. Anything could set her off at this point. The brunette had way too much on her plate at the moment, and so she headed to the one place where she could work out her current aggression. The dueling chambers.

The last time the teen had been there, all hell had broken loose between herself and Draco's cousin, Silas Lestrange. She hadn't been able to reign in her impatience or temper at the time. The boy was so bloody annoying!! He spoke in circles until it drive her mad, and pretended to know more than she did. She was aware the latter was probably true, but it had irritated her for him to run it in that he might know more about her own life than she did and not even disclose that information.

Thinking of her past run in with the Ravenclaw had her already quick steps changing into a full on sprint. She didn't care if she were supposed to be running in the halls or not. She just needed to get to the chambers. She needed to relieve the tension, and the stress, and she might have dragged Draco off for a duel but she didn't trust herself to not actually hurt him. Or anyone, really. Finally, she entered the chambers, wand already in her hand and aimed, spell on her lips.

Except, there was already someone there. Purple eyes grew wide as Sky took in the scene before her. Never would she had thought she would walk in on something like this. Though, when she would think about later, in hindsight, it probably shouldn't have surprised her that the pureblood, arrogant, Slytherin head girl and the muggleborn, pride of Gryffindor house were attempting to kill each other. And that was putting it lightly. Aside from not screaming out the killing curse the two witches seemed hell bent on ridding the world of each other.

The brunette hesitated, not sure if she even wanted to get involved. But as soon as her purple gaze caught sight of what was heading across the floor towards Hermion, the girl leapt into action. She wouldn't be able to live with herself if she allowed Harry's friend to get in over her head, regardless of what the Gryffindor thought of her. Skyler easily sent a disarming spell at both of the other girls, darting forward to catch their wands. There was no doubt in her mind her spells would hit their targets. The girls were so wrapped up in their duel with each other they hadn't even noticed her come in. They wouldn't even see her spells coming until it was too late.

With her own wand, the teen muttered a spell that had flames spewing forth from her wand, licking at the ice the head girl had created until it disappeared. Only then did she end the spell. Holding the two girl's wands in her hand, Skyler looked from one girl to the other, arching a brow as a slow smirk curled her lips. "Having fun girls?"

It was a grin of both victory and superiority that split the gryffindor's lips when her spells connected and at one point she had LeBeau wandless, sightless, and on the floor. Too bad it wasn't all at once. The older girl had managed to keep herself in the fight by ripping off the blindfold and catching her wand before Hermione could snag it from the air.

The bushy haired witch really shouldn't have gotten the gleeful feeling watching her cutting hex slice into the girl's ankle brought, but she did and she looked ready to claim her victory over the head girl and never let her forget it until the ice began to make it toward her feet. Her burns stung and this would only make it worse if it did what the gryffindor thought it did and just as she was raising her wand to put up some defense it was snatched from her.

Chocolate brown eyes widened in shock as she watched her wand sail through the air only to have Skyler Riddle catch it. Now wandless and defenseless while in a room with two snakes Hermione was quite worried for her own sake and health. She then noticed the older girl was missing her wand too while Riddle held three and realized the younger girl had disarmed them both. It was an insult and an injury to Hermione's pride that the younger witch had been able to sneak on her like that and so she was torn between feeling thankful the girl had out an end to a fight that might have only ended with a real death and angry at her for the same reason and for being able to disarm her.

When the flames had taken care of the ice Hermione narrowed her eyes on the younger girl annoyed with the smirk and the remark and her hostile looks and demeanor made it clear. "Tons. Now give me my wand Riddle." She demanded almost haughtily of the other girl spitting the name out with as much disgust as possible and holding her hand out in expectation.

Laurette was beyond irritated when her wand was once again forced from her hand. She knew it wasn’t the bushy-haired girl this time, however, because soon another voice joined the room and she was glaring up at a familiar face. That damned Riddle girl who’d joined her own house when she transferred in this year. Bloody pain of a chit she was, and the older snake wished she could curse the attitude right out of the girl’s body.

When Granger demanded her wand back, the Head Girl couldn’t hold back the snort that spurted from her nose and mouth. She tried to cover her mouth and stop the ridiculous noise, but she just couldn’t hold it back. The raven-haired girl began giggling there on the floor, falling to her side as she lost the fight with her stupid ankle. It was just so damned hilarious! The Golden Lioness was trying to get her wand back to resume a fight wherein she’d just nearly managed to get frozen alive! Bloody bravery her arse. Gryffindors were damned stupid!

“Oh, do give us back our wands then, Riddle,” she spat between fits of giggles. “I want to see the mudblood try and stop my magic without your help. She was doing so well.” Laurette was cruel and it was really ridiculous that someone trusted with the protection and punishment of the students was such a terror, yet there she was. She peered at the younger Slytherin with malicious eyes, wondering just what might happen now that the fight had been interrupted. She really could use a healing charm or something for her ankle…

Skyler merely rolled her eyes at Granger, dismissing her demand quite easily. Though the younger of the three girls in the room was sure the Gryffindor would just snatch it and leave. The brunette was more worried about the Head Girl, who was more bloodthirsty apparently. Skyler narrowed her eyes at the word 'mudblood', taking offense seeing as she was a halfblood. She may not exactly like Granger, but the teen thought anyone who immediately wrote someone off just because of their blood was more of an idiot than she cared to associate with.

Flicking her wand, a thick strip of tape covered the older Slytherin's mouth, and Skyler glared coldly at the Head Girl. It was clear there was no love lost between them, as the brunette was sure LeBeau detested her just as much as Skyler disliked the elder girl. "You should really watch your mouth LeBeau. Because I don't mind giving detentions for foul language, and we all know I could care less if you're the Head Girl. You don't deserve the badge or the honor."

The fifth year Slytherin sneered at the older girl in disgust, making it clear exactly how little she thought of the other snake. She secretly hoped the girl would rip off the tape, taking her useless lips with them. And if by some miracle she could still speak vulgar words after that, Sky had a lovely charm in her arsenal that would clean that up a bit. If it didn't, then at the least it would be amusing.

The teen smirked at the thought, still not making any moves to return their wands. "I'm actually a bit disappointed. Here I thought we were supposed to set good examples for the other students, and I'm pretty sure nearly killing each other isn't a good example. Nor is using the dark arts." Skyler's eyes glittered back at the older Slytherin maliciously, giving away just how long she had been in the room. "Maybe a detention with Professor Snape will help both of you act according to your positions?" She ended off questioning, smirking at the pair deviously.

The younger snake was nearly as infuriating as her older counterpart, but for different reasons. Hermione did not like the head girl on principle. The older witch stood for everything the gryffindor fought against.

With Riddle, the tables were turned on Hermione. The bushy haired witch judged the slytherin prefect based solely on her last name and house and that made her just as low as LeBeau. Hermione felt justified in her distrust and dislike considering who the other shared names with and it wasn't like she was alone in it either. Nearly the entire castle was with her in her opinion on the fifth year. It had to do with being cautious and nothing to do with that Harry was blindsided by the snake.

The gryffindor's chocolate brown eyes narrowed even more when she was threatened with detention. With Snape! Who did this girl think she was? Hermione's irrational irritation was enough to override her surprise at the way the fifth year stood up to the head girl. Snakes generally stuck together in her experience.

"Give me my wand Riddle." Hermione demanded a second time through gritted teeth. "Neither of us will be serving any detention because neither of us are in the wrong here. We're in the dueling chambers Riddle. What else would we be doing but dueling?" Each time she spoke the name it was spat out like poison giving the clear idea that the gryffindor despised the other girl and she rolled her eyes as she explained like one would to a two year old why she wouldn't be getting a detention.

Laurette watched the other two with a smirk growing on her face. It seemed Granger wasn’t too keen on the idea of serving detention, which meant she wouldn’t be doing so either. Riddle was barking up the wrong tree, and the Head Girl knew just how to get out of this situation. “Technically, it isn’t a known spell, so it isn’t yet classified as a ‘dark art,’” she spat, grimacing at the way her ankle was beginning to ache. “So, you can’t get me in trouble for that, Riddle. We were dueling. In the dueling chambers, just like Granger said. And I was practicing some new spells my dear brother taught me. He created them, you know. Which means no one can decide how to classify them but him. And he has simply called them hexes.”

She looked at the younger Slytherin with superiority dancing in her eyes. That was, until she tried to stand and let out a shriek of pain. “Bollocks!” she screamed, unable to hold back the gasp as the gash began to bleed again from Granger’s slicing hex. “And don’t give me that speech about my mouth and my position, Riddle. It isn’t your place to decide if I deserved the badge or not!” If she could just get her damned wand back she might be able to manage a splint of some sort so she could get to Pomfrey and get sorted out. It just didn’t seem like the youngest girl had any intention of giving the stupid sticks back.

This was frustrating, and the spoiled Head found herself ready to scream and throw and tantrum like a much younger child. “Give me back my damned wand, now, Riddle,” she demanded, shooting the girl a glare that might have made a firstie cry. “I would like to get to the hospital wing for the bloody gash before it causes permanent damage!”

She was beginning to agree with the Parkinson girl about Riddle. She was a little freak, and she shouldn’t be at the school. How dare she try and upstage the Head Girl? Didn’t she realize how the chains of power worked here? “I know you are new here, Riddle, but you should learn your place. And fast. You are nowhere near my level.” Laurette glared daggers at the girl, fighting to ignore the pain in her leg. Maybe she’d get out of here eventually. Perhaps. If hell froze over. Or Riddle grew a damned brain.

It seemed to be Skyler's fate to make enemies at Hogwarts, and none of them were any less accomplished than she herself was. If not more so. Parkinson, while lacking in common sense, was like a rabid dog. Wild, and dangerous, especially when cornered. The brunette was still waiting for the lash back of that particular battle, and now she had landed herself smack in the middle of another. And if she were any less than completely confident in herself and her abilities, Sky might have thought herself in over her head.

These weren't third years, and they certainly weren't normal teenage girls either. She may not have been at Hogwart's long, but the brunette had been there long enough to know that their reputations preceded them. Granger was not to be underestimated, in any sense of the word. The pride of Gryffindor house was rumored to be the most clever witch for her age, and to be fierce in her anger. Lebeau on the other hand, was rumored to have connections to the dark side of the war, and based on what Skyler had seen thus far and on the fact that the Head Girl was a Slytherin, wasn't above playing dirty or hitting below the belt.

Anyone else might have felt overwhelmed or like running, but the brunette merely cocked her head to the side, arching a brow while her purple eyes danced in amusement at the two older witches. Their death glares would've killed her ten times over probably if looks could kill, making the teen glad that they couldn't. Skyler found funny that she should provide the two a common enemy, and went as far as to laugh at their mutual agreement about not doing detention. "How incredibly special it makes me feel that hating me is the one thing you two agree on." The brunette teased with false excitement for the two.

Rolling her laughing purple eyes at the older Slytherin, Skyler wouldn't let the other girl have the satisfaction of getting a rise out of her. Smirking her patented Riddle smirk, she replied in kind. "LeBeau, the level you're on is so far beneath me, I have no desire to lower myself to it. Maybe you should learn your place." It was obvious the youngest of the three witches was not the type to back down or roll over, and would hardly rise to the baiting the older girl was performing. With her devilish smirk speaking for her, the teen tossed Granger her wand, not worried about a sudden attack. It wasn't like she had done anything to deserve being hexed or cursed, and the Gryffindor was most likely far too noble to send one at her back considering Skyler had turned it to the older girls and headed for the door.

Getting there, she dropped the Head Girl's wand onto the floor, flashing a parting grin at the older Slytherin. Personally, the brunette found the older girl childish and spoiled and had no idea how she had obtain any kind of leadership role in the school. Either way, Sky wasn't such an idiot to trust LeBeau with a wand while she made her exit. Part of her wanted to stay and watch while the girl crawled to her wand, but she had other things to do now. "I guess we'll just see if Professor McGonnagall shares your opinion on those hexes LeBeau." The brunette called out as she left he room smirking.
