Skyler wasn't entirely sure how she had ended up in this particular situation, but she was damned sure she should fix it before anyone noticed. The problem was, it wasn't likely that no one would notice the extreme amount of bubbles now cascading down one of the hallways on the first floor. The brunette had already given up trying to stay out of the mass, since now the sheer amount of bubbles looked like a tidal wave going down the corridor.

The teen had also given up trying to vanish the things, since that was how the problem had become such a big one. If she were being honest, the problem had started way before that, but it definitely hadn't been completely out of control as it was now. Now, she desperately tried to think of a way to reverse the effects of her invented spell before anyone else, especially a professor, showed up, because she definitely did not want to have to explain how this fiasco had started with her practicing an invented spell in the bathroom. Somehow Skyler didn't feel like that would go over too well, and she winced at the idea of her on head of house finding her at the moment, amidst the ever growing waves of bubbles.

So there she was, covered from head to foot in bubbles. Because these weren't just any bubbles. Oh no. They were bubbles that stuck to one, and refused to pop. And when one tried to vanish them, they merely multiplied. Something Skyler had failed to realize the first ten minutes she was using the vanishing charm to try and clear them. Now she had singlehandedly created a monstrosity that was now beginning to cascade down the staircase that led to the entrance hall, taking the Slytherin for the ride. Skyler could only hope that everyone in the castle had something better to do, and that the never empty entrance hall was empty. Either that or that she was so covered in the damn bubbles that she blended right in and therefore could not be seen.

Parker noticed the bubbles, stopped, and stared as he smiled. "I love bubbles!"

Following the trail he laughed, twirling in circles. This was great! He'd never seen anyone have normal fun like this. It was all flying broomsticks, squirty marbles, and exploding playing cards. Those were great fun too, but sometimes things like bubbles was best.

When the bubbles stuck to him like static cling, Parker's smile grew to a grin. Jumping he clapped his hands together over one and laughed when it stuck. Rolling the bubble between his hands he giggled. What Lettie and Robbie would say to something like this! Continuing on he moved his arms like he was swimming through water.

Until he saw something in the bubbles. Screaming, "Bubble monster!" Parker went to run but slipped, fell, and was soon covered in bubbles. Scrambling to get up he was soon fighting a swarm of bubbles.

Voice going high as he screamed, Parker just hoped it didn't eat children. "Please don't make me a bubble-boy!"

Skyler hadn't gotten very far in thinking of a way to reverse the ever growing ocean of bubbles, and somewhere between floating among the bubbles down the staircase and getting to the entrance hall the brunette had decided that it was no use. There was not a single idea in the teen's head that would rectify the situation, so she gave up on the entire notion and figured she might as well have some fun while she still could, since she was sure eventually she would be facing a professor. At which point she would lie to keep herself out of trouble. After all, she could just as easily be an innocent bystander.

She soon found though, that trying to stand in amidst the bubbles was a whole other story. Because the things didn't pop under pressure, they were more like rubber balls than bubbles, and made standing or walking nearly impossible. While the inventor side of the brunette filed this away for later use, Skyler focused on how to better move about as more and more bubbles began to stick to her person, making visibility another obstacle.

Considering this, the Slytherin was not so surprised when a young boy, who seemed to enjoy the display, mistook her for some kind of bubble monster. She herself was sure she wouldn't recognize herself as a person either given the sheer amount bubbles she was covered with. The idea was laughable really, and Sky couldn't help the laughter at his expense, though it was in good fun.

Still laughing as she approached him slowly, being careful not to slip and fall, the brunette desperately tried to clear the bubbles from her face so the small boy could see she was a person, and not some monster. Succeeding in at least that much, the girl grinned widely down at the fallen boy, who, if she had to guess, was a first year. It was impossible to tell from which house he belonged though, given the state of bubbles he too was in.

"No worries. I prefer to turn little boys into toads. They're much more useful that way. Potions and what not." Skyler spoke in a joking tone, her grin playful as she winked at the boy, clearly showing she was only kidding. The Slytherin opened her mouth again to ask him of he needed a hand and as she did, a small bubble decided to float right into it, and immediately snapped her mouth shut to stop any further bubbles from entering.

However, she choked on the one that had found it's way into her mouth, and as she coughed, a stream of bubble flew out of her mouth, and her purple eyes grew wide in shock. That was definitely new.
