| Tuesdays were boring and of course it was Tuesday night when Draco found himself patrolling the basement halls with his girlfriend and fellow prefect. Funny to think of when they were on the train and he’d been planning this chance to spend time with her. Back then, he’d thought they’d still be barely talking. Oh, how things worked out sometimes…
The two would end up patrolling the lower levels of the castle, as he was pretty sure a set of Gryffindor or Ravenclaw prefects had the upper levels that night. It was odd how randomly they patrolled, but it worked. They managed to keep the other students on their toes, and most of the time they could deter any major rule breaking. Plus, Draco usually managed to do his patrolling in his pajamas, which was always fun.
Tonight he wore emerald colored pants of a silky material and a white tank that clung to his muscular chest. His arms were pale and bare, and his physique was very obvious. He smirked at his girlfriend, knowing she had to notice how good he looked. He even ran a hand through his messy hair just for her benefit. Sure, they were prefects on duty, but that didn’t mean they couldn’t take advantage of a broom closet for a bit of a snog along the way.
”So are you done with Parkinson now, or has that war just begun?” he asked softly. It got boring on these rounds when no one was caught out of bed, so he’d developed a level of speaking that wouldn’t give them away but would still allow for a bit of communication. ”I happen to think you should keep it up. You might be usurping her as queen of the snakes pretty soon.” He was grinning at her as he said this, knowing she didn’t much desire the title.
It was true, though. The other members of their house seemed to take notice of the score between Pansy and the newest member of their house. If she kept proving herself, Sky would be moving up the ranks rather fast. There was also the fact that she was dating one of the most desired Slytherin men, yet didn’t seem affected by it. Both guys and girls were beginning to take notice of her, and Draco wasn’t sure how he felt about that.

| Tuesday night found Skyler doing prefect duties. Damn prefect duties. Like she didn't have more important things to worry about, or enough homework to do. Regardless of whether she wanted to do her duties or not, the brunette had no choice. She had been picked for the duties and would just have to suck it up and deal with it.
Atleast she got to do rounds with her boyfriend. Not that he was much consolation. He apparently had to make things difficult by going around in his PJs. Normally this wouldn't bother Skyler at all. But the brunette had been introduced to the hormone raging teenage life apparently, and now took notice of how good one looked and when. And her blonde boyfriend easily looked too good in his pajamas, with his messy hair and sculpted body. So the brunette kept a good distance between them and brought her eyes to him only when necessary, knowing that if they got caught up in a storm of sexual tension like in the forest she wouldn't be able to stop it.
She did smirk though, as he ran his hand through his hair. "Harry's going to start thinking you're stealing his hair style." Skyler commented teasingly, eyes bright with humor as she kept her tone low. No need to scare off anyone who might actually be wandering around the basements aside from themselves. She herself wore a fitted pair of jeans and a black tank top, a small black hoodie sweatshirt pulled on over top. It tended to get cold in the castle, especially in the lower parts. Her wand, as per usual, she had tucked behind her right ear.
The teen really couldn't help the snort that escaped her at his question and she spared him a look that seemed to question his own sanity even as she answered aloud. "I would say me and her are even and be done with it, but I'm almost sure she'll be out for blood now." Her response was still low in tone, but seemed far too cheery. Skyler wasn't completely worried about Parkinson, but she dedicated a good deal of it to that particular feud. No one knew about their second run in, but it had definitely blown sparks into a full on fire. That coupled with Sunday dinner and well...Sky was pretty certain the older girl would be getting her revenge, and she knew this time Parkinson wouldn't underestimate her, which meant Skyler had to be on her guard at all times.
She rolled her eyes at him, wrinkling her nose in distaste. "That is the last thing I need at the moment thanks." She responded with sarcasm. The brunette had no ambitions to be queen of the snake pit. If truth be told, the whole idea of it was ridiculous to her anyways, and she felt her house deserved to be stuck with Parkinson since they allowed her to proclaim the title for so long. Besides, Sky felt she ready had her work cut out for her, no need to add on anymore. |

| Draco glared at his girlfriend as he snapped his hand back down to his side. He would not be compared to Potter, especially to be accused of stealing his look. Draco had been working on the sexily disheveled hair long before Potter even realized it was a thing. It wasn’t his fault the scarhead had naturally messy locks. He wasn’t so sure about her assessment regarding Parkinson, and found himself a bit nervous about just what his little snake was going to get herself into this year. If she could manage not to get any more castle exploded on her, that would be a start.
He raised a brow at her, wondering why she wouldn’t embrace the snakes as her own. ”You know, you could use them as quite a support system of sorts. Slytherins might be hard to trust, but they are also hard to take in a fight. It’s good to have them between you and those who wish to do you harm.” He was always looking out for his girl’s safety, and he had to admit that he couldn’t always be there to protect her. If Sky could put some of the other members of their house between her and any harm that was coming her way, well, she might just survive this year.
”You are making the whole ‘keep my girlfriend alive’ agenda rather difficult, I hope you know,” he muttered. In reality, it was getting kind of difficult for Draco to keep track of all the things he needed to focus on this year. He still had to pretend to be following Voldemort, he needed to meet with Silas to try and figure out how to deal with their little mission involving Halloween, he had to keep his girlfriend from being murdered by his deranged ex-girlfriend, and he had to help Granger head the prefect meeting that would be coming up soon. Not to mention all his classes, patrolling, going over plans with his godfather, and figuring out how to survive life among the snakes when he turned his back on most of them.
Yeah. This year was going to be a damn walk in the park. At least he didn’t have OWLs or NEWTs to worry about. Thank Salazar for small favors. Of course, Sky did have OWLs, and he wasn’t sure if she really knew what she was in for being that it was her first year at the castle. His thoughts were interrupted by a muffled sound in the distance and he turned to gaze at his girlfriend with a small smirk crossing his lips. ”Ready to dock some points?”

| It had been a rough day for Avery who had struggled to get through his classes after a restless night. Technically it wasn't restless since he did get sleep but it was one of those nights where his dreams were so vivid and real like that when he woke up he was completely drained and felt as if he hadn't slept at all. Not even the cold shower he had needed after waking had washed the exhaustion from him.
He had been late to breakfast and had barely grabbed a few bites of toast before he was off to his first lesson, and he had skipped lunch and dinner in favor of catching some z's so it was no surprise when his stomach reared it's hungry head. Seeing as it was late and dinner had been over for hours Avery did what any hungry student who knew where to go for a midnight snack would do. He made his way to the kitchens which was located down in Hufflepuff territory.
He was walking on his way to the kitchens dressed in his school uniform of black slacks and white oxford and sleeves rolled up. Without his robes on the uniform did much to show his tall and built body. He was almost to his destination when he crossed paths with a a couple of familiar faces. Draco Malfoy was well known in these parts for infamous reasons and he recognized the other as Skyler the only slytherin Avery could say he liked or more than liked as his dreams would say.
He groaned to himself at his luck. Malfoy was a prefect who was notoriously known for docking points and especially from gryffindors. He didn't want to lose points but there was no avoiding the blonde menace and Avery always had a hard time playing nice with Malfoy and now he had more reason not to. He felt that maybe his luck would hold better with the girl and he gave her a wide grin and strolled right up to her picking her up clear off the ground and spinning her around in a massive hug and then set her back on her feet while staying closer than necessary.
"My favorite slytherin! It's about time we had another run in. I haven't seen much of you since the trophy room." He didn't give the Malfoy heir the time of day and purposefully ignored the other wizard focusing solely on the captivating girl in front of him and purposefully mentioning the trophy room. Let the ice prince make what he wanted of that. |

| Skyler rolled her purple eyes at her boyfriend. "What good is it to have people around for protection if you can't trust them?" She answered him with her own question. "You know as well as I do most of them are still too afraid of Parkinson to so much as speak to me, and the ones that aren't see me more like a traitor than anything else. I won't find many allies there. And I'm not into using people for my own well being anyways." The brunette's tone made it clear she was over that topic of conversation. She wasn't interested in being the leader of a group of people who only lived to serve their own misguided purposes, as many of the Slytherins did.
The teen's vivid eyes blazed at the blonde's muttered words, and she stopped abruptly in her tracks to turn a full glare on him. "No one asked you to make that an agenda. I'm perfectly capable of keeping myself alive. I think my little detour from our date this weekend proves that." Skyler spoke in a low but icy tone, taking offense to his words. It really was the last thing she needed to hear at the moment, when all her unresolved issues and emotions were boiling so close to the surface. She had yet to really discuss the impromptu meetings with the headmaster and the dark lord with Draco, or with anyone else.
Fortunately for the Malfoy heir, the sudden sound of approaching footsteps interrupted their neat whispered conversation, and Draco seemed to be happy if his enthusiasm for taking points was anything to go by. Skyler only had time to roll her eyes in irritation at him because she was suddenly being picked up and twirled about by a pair of strong arms. Her purple eyes had widened in surprise and an equally surprised yet happy grin settled on her lips as she was returned back to the ground only to look up and be met with the smiling face of Avery. The brunette even neglected to realize his invasion of her personal space for the most part, but she did shuffle away a little so as not to be in full body contact with the older Gryffindor.
"Hey Avery!! Sorry about that. I've been pretty busy lately." She offered in response, sending the boy an apologetic smile. "I would return the favor and say you're my favorite Gryffindor, but that spot has already been taken." She advised teasingly, and then indicated Draco. "You know Draco, right?" She questioned, looking between the two hopefully. Maybe now was the chance to see if her friends and boyfriend could get along, though she knew the real problem would include a different lion. |

| Answering her eye-roll with one of his own, Draco sighed. It seemed his girlfriend refused to be a typical Slytherin in any sense, which meant she wouldn’t be using the members of her house as meat shields. That was frustrating. And, of course, it seemed he’d said the wrong thing when he mentioned his goal of keeping her safe and well. Even his mention of docking points didn’t seem to distract her from her anger at him daring to try and protect her, which only made him growl and grit his teeth.
”You are my girlfriend and I am damn well going to protect you whether you like it or not,” he muttered with a dangerous spark in his silver eyes. The blow about her meeting during their Hogsmeade trip was low and hit hard, and it had the blonde gaping awkwardly in the semi-darkness. He hadn’t wanted to send her to that demon, especially not alone. How could she possibly throw that back at him? Did she really blame him for her going there and facing the man he still had to call ‘Master’? He felt sick to his stomach, and it only got work as the Gryffindor boy happily greeted his girlfriend as if they were meant to be together rather than she and Draco.
Draco was grinding his teeth so hard he would probably end up with dull nubs where his pearly whites used to be, but he didn’t much care at the moment. He growled and glared icily as his girlfriend was lifted into the air and spun about in a hug from some bloody lion who Draco only vaguely knew from classes. If looks could kill, the boy would have died ten times over, as the Slytherin prefect glared as haughtily as he could manage. He was going to murder this boy unless Sky figured out some way to stop him, and it would take quite a bit of energy to do so, as he was in a rage.
In that moment, Draco nearly raised his wand for an unforgiveable curse, but quickly stopped himself from making such a stupid mistake. It wasn’t worth it for something so simple. Even if he did feel pure hatred coursing blindly through his veins. He vaguely heard his girlfriend introduce him, and stepped closer, fists clenched and body shaking with unshed rage. ”Let me refresh your memory. I’m Draco Malfoy. Skyler’s boyfriend.” His voice was low and deadly as he hissed at the boy, clenching his jaw to a point that it actually hurt. His fist twitched at his side while he growled and willed himself to show some restraint. ”You have five seconds to get the hell away from her before my fist meets your face and you lose enough points that your whole house will wish I’d hurt you worse.”

| Sky had never been as furious with her blonde boyfriend as she was then, nor had she been as turned on by him. While his ridiculous rage at a hug shared between friends made her own eyes flash with indignant anger, the brunette couldn't help but his look of fury sexy as hell. There was just something about the way his grey gaze turned to molten silver struck a nerve with her that ran straight through her core and burned her through on it's way. She had never seen Draco look more gloriously hostile than he did there, and it was sort of endearing in a way. If this was how he reacted to a hug, she couldn't imagine how he would look should anyone actually ever hurt her.
The teen had to shake her head to clear it and focus on the problem at hand, because there was a problem obviously. While she enjoyed the sight of a jealous and raging Draco Malfoy, she didn't enjoy the fact that it was over something as innocent as a hug, and she was not about to let him ruin her friendships because he was overly possessive. Even if she did enjoy that quality about him. But his body was so tense and his words laced with south rage that even she was a bit frightened by him, and she hoped her friend didn't do or say anything stupid because at the moment Draco looked every bit like the dragon for which he were named.
At this point, Skyler's entire focus was on her boyfriend, who was glaring so harshly she wouldn't be surprised if her friend dropped dead from the stare and who's fists were clenched so tight it was obvious he was using all his willpower to restrain himself from hitting the Gryffindor. The brunette knew without a doubt no gentle or soft tones, looks, or touches would stop Draco's rage in it's tracks. So she decided to fight fire with fire.
The small Slytherin forced herself between the two, shoving them away from each other before things could get out of hand and turn into an all out brawl, though by the looks of it Draco didn't seem like he would mind that so much. The teen was beginning to think Avery would be lucky to walk away from there still breathing, because the blonde didn't look like he had any intention of backing down one inch, which could prove problematic if she didn't get a hold on the situation quickly. The brunette adopted her own haughty and heated glare, pinning the Gryffindor with it first, in warning to not say or do anything stupid as to provoke the other Slytherin prefect before she pierced her boyfriend with the same look, her small hand planted firmly on his chest.
"I don't think there will be any need for any sort of physical contact between you two." The teen's voice was hard, and her tone was one that suggested that there had better not be any punches thrown, the silent 'or else' hung in the air just as clearly as if she had spoken it aloud. With a final warning glare at both boys, Sky turned to face Avery, and in doing so she moved completely away from the Gryffindor, planting herself so that half of the back of her body was in direct contact with the front of her boyfriend's, hoping to both calm him some and to keep him from making any further threatening movements toward her friend. While she was still completely pissed at him, she didn't need him fighting with what little friends she had, and that took precedence over her own anger for the moment.
Giving Avery a small apologetic smile, the teen cocked her head in a questioning manner. "He is right though. You could lose a good amount of points for being out and about now. What are you doing so far from Gryffindor tower?" She asked him more curious than anything, not at all the point taking devil her boyfriend was. In fact, her spoken words made it sound like she had no intention of taking any points from the boy, and Skyler failed to realize that might serve to fuel the blonde's rage. |

| It became impossible to ignore the slytherin boy when he stepped foward in a threatening manner. Avery grinned both on the inside and out because he wasn't afraid of the bloke and would like to give him a taste of his own medicine by pummeling him into the ground. He made this plain by the flexing of his own muscles and fisting his own hands at his sides in challenge to the prefect. "Didn't know you had a problem with competition Malfoy."
Skyler had other ideas though and effectively shoved him away from Malfoy but Avery didn't move too far having too much fun riling up the other guy and he did his best to ignore the warning look his friend gave him and gave a careless shrug. "I guess not Skyler but your overbearing boyfriend is the one doing the threatening if you don't mind me pointing out." Avery smiled broadly at the small witch in front of him. "I was on my way to grab a midnight snack. Care to join me?" He playfully winked at her and anticipated the other boys reaction. |

| She pushed the boys apart and Draco couldn’t help but growl at his girlfriend, but was happy to wrap his arms about her waste as she placed herself closely in front of him. He knew she wasn’t happy with him based on the death glare she’d shot at him, but he was sure he could convince her to be understanding. He was simply looking out for her, after all. And it seemed he was doing so with good reason, judging by the way this boy ignored the rules and was trying to pick her up right in front of her boyfriend.
”You really think you’re going to be allowed to go on your merry way to the kitchens?” he asked with a raised brow and a look of utter disbelief. He looked down at his girlfriend with the same look still on his face. ”Can you believe this? He actually thinks we’re going to let him go on to the kitchens rather than sending him back to his dorm with a good 25 less points!” The fact that the kid even bothered to try and get Sky to accompany him had Draco laughing. His anger was slowly leaving him, as the girl made her presence clear in his arms. She was his. She was smart. She could handle any sorry sod who tried to take advantage of her.
Sliding his fingers up and down her arms, Draco leaned his chin on top of her head and sighed, a smile on his lips. ”You’d better just head back to your den with your tail between your legs now, little lion. You aren’t going to get anywhere with us, and you aren’t taking this hellcat anywhere she doesn’t want to go. Trust me, I’ve tried.” He smirked at the simple fact that even he couldn’t make Sky do a damned thing she didn’t consent to. It was something he truly loved about her.
He still wanted to punch the idiot for having the nerve to touch his girl in such a way, or to make the comments he dared make, but it wasn’t worth upsetting Sky. ”Oh, and I wouldn’t say you know a thing about what I think of so called ‘competition,’ since you are anything but.” His tone was cold and cruel, but it sure made him feel better. He still got a nice jab in at the boy while hopefully keeping his little snake happy with him. He gently nuzzled his chin on her head, hoping they would be alone again soon.

| Draco made it clear that he wasn't exactly happy with being denied his opportunity to punch Avery in the face, but Skyler didn't let it bother her too much since that would only create more problems neither of them needed. Her boyfriend seemed happy enough that she placed herself close enough to him to allow for physical contact between them, and also to show the Gryffindor that her place was with the Slytherin male. Granted the girl wasn't particularly happy with the blonde, that in no way meant she was going to skip off with the lion.
There was no helping the snort at her friend's comment to Draco about competition, or his reference about the blonde being overbearing. But regardless of the fact the idea was humorous, her eyes narrowed on her friend as she felt her boyfriend's arms slip around her waist. "There is no competition. Not now, and probably not ever if I have my way. And I usually do." The brunette ended with a smirk, confident this would appease her boyfriend and also curtail any of Avery's further attempts to sway her. "And I wouldn't call him overbearing. Overprotective and possessive maybe. But not overbearing."
The teen said this with a fond tone, hoping to convey to her friend that Draco wasn't half as bad as he seemed at times, and that he didn't tell her what to do. Like Skyler would let anyone do that. She also wanted her Gryffindor friend to understand that she wasn't going to stand by and allow him or anyone else to make digs about the blonde, especially when they didn't have a clue as to what he was really like, or who he really was.
The teen rolled her eyes at her boyfriend's disbelief, but smiled all the same when she felt his chin come to a rest on the top of her head, and, relieved that he had calmed, leaned back against his chest as she berated him softly. "Draco, don't be so mean." While his words weren't half as cutting or bad as they could have been given the situation, it wasn't necessary to call the Gryffindor a coward, which the blonde had done in not so many words.
Skyler focused on her friend, knowing that Draco were right and he shouldn't be allowed to continue on his excursion, but what could it hurt really? At least he wasn't doing anything horrible. The teen bit her lip unconsciously, but in the end sighed in resignation and addressed Avery. "You really should get back to the tower Avery. I've already stepped in to keep Gryffindor from losing points once, and I'd rather not make a habit of it." Her tone was friendly, but there was a slight hardness to it that told this was more than a suggestion, and her words clearly indicated that she wouldn't interfere with whatever amount of points the blonde decided to deduct should Avery continue to press his luck with the blonde.
The same held true for Draco's last comment. While Sky really did like Avery, there was no competition when it came to her heart and who she gave it to. The Gryffindor needed to accept that. If he didn't, then Skyler's purposeful silence regarding her boyfriend's cruel words indicated the brunette would not stand in his way should the Gryffindor proceed to bait him. |

| It didn't look like Malfoy liked that Skyler pushed them apart any more than he did but the move did the trick because Avery wasn't going to throw a punch with her in the way and it didn't look like the other bloke was going to either. The gryffindor frowned when the other guy was allowed to wrap his arms around her after the way he had been acting but it really had to do with him not liking the other boy touching her. It wasn't smart for him to think he had any claim to her but he sort of did and anyway the girl was way to good for the slimy snake who clung to her.
"And what are you going to do about it Malfoy?" Avery asked him in a challenging way. He wasn't going to give up a chance to spend time with the girl just because it was a couple of hours past curfew. He knew the other bloke could take points and he wasn't too worried about losing a few when Potter and his friends had lost hundreds in one go at few points in the last few years. "It's not like I'm doing anything bad. You can't honestly tell me you've never went for a midnight snack." Skyler's words and the way she stuck up for the git made Avery mad.
The snake didn't deserve to breathe the same air as her and she was backing him up. Didn't she know the kind of cruel and antagonizing bloke he was? His muscles tensed but he kept his broad smile for the girl because he was going to ignore her words and warnings and push even farther to show her just how out of hand Malfoy could be. With eyes only for Skyler Avery leaned forward to bring his own face within inches of hers and his hazel eyes glanced to her lips while he licked his own. "Tell you what. I'll go to bed if you give me a kiss goodnight." |

| Even though it angered him to see his girlfriend trying to reason with a Gryffindor, Draco had to give her credit. She was giving the boy an out, while not giving in to anything he’d said or claimed, and she was defending her blonde boyfriend. He couldn’t help but grin at her assessment of his person, and he thought to himself that she wouldn’t be happy with someone who didn’t test her a bit.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t focus on this too long, as the stupid lion didn’t seem to know how to take ‘no’ for an answer. Sky had clearly said that Draco was her man and there was no room for anyone else in that picture, yet the boy was trying to get her to bloody kiss him! Draco could barely believe his eyes as he watched the dolt lean in so close to Skyler’s face that he nearly touched her lips against her will.
Draco was seeing nothing but red as he gently pushed Sky out of the way and stepped forward toward the lion. He was not about to let this go, especially since his girlfriend had so clearly said she wasn’t interested in the boy. If he was going to try and push his luck, then Draco was going to push back and make it known that no meant no, and Sky wasn’t the only terror Verona would have to deal with.
In an instant, Draco had bent and thrust his knee upwards toward the boy’s groin. There was no way he could miss the sensitive spot between the kid’s legs, and he smirked as he felt his knee connect. ”You should have damn well listened to her and gone to bed, scumbag,” he growled, grabbing the guy by the hair and forcing his head sideways so that he could hiss into his ear. ”If you ever even think about touching her, I swear to Merlin I will go to Azkaban for what I’ll do to you.”
The blonde let go of the Gryffindor and shoved him toward the wall, hoping he’d hit the stone with enough force to earn another bruise. He glared at the boy with pure rage dancing in his silver gaze, holding out a hand for Sky as he kept his eyes on the Gryffindor swine. ”You lose 50 points. 25 for being out after curfew and refusing to go to bed and another 25 for unwholesome behavior. And you’ll report to McGonagall for a week’s detention as well. I’m sure she’ll be happy to know that one of her own was trying to have his way with an unwilling girl in the middle of the night.”
Draco waited for the boy to sulk back to his tower, growling the whole time. If Verona so much as took a step toward Skyler, the blonde wouldn’t hesitate to hex him into the infirmary.

| It was a good thing for Avery that Draco pushed her out of the way, seeing as her own arm had pulled back as Sky prepared to let it fly forward directly at the Gryffindor's jaw. She was terribly disappointed that she was cheated out of the chance by her boyfriend, but the brunette knew her friend (if she could even call him that at this point) had gone too far this time, and if she herself wanted to knock his block off, Skyler could only imagine the things the blonde wanted to do the Gryffindor.
For a moment, Sky considered trying to stop her boyfriend from dishing out whatever punishment his dark and dangerous mind came up with for this new trespass on his territory. Thinking of herself as Draco's didn't bother her, nor did it make her feel like property. Mainly because she knew the blonde knew better than to treat her as such, but also it was the truth, and the brunette enjoyed the fact that she belonged to him.
It was because of this she held her tongue, and did nothing to hold Draco or his rage back this time. In all fairness, she had warned her friend against further antagonizing her boyfriend, and this time it wasn't just Draco that Avery pissed off. But even in her anger Sky winced when Draco kneed the Gryffindor in his groin. Hard. That had to hurt. The brunette continued to stand aside as the blonde hissed his threat and shoved Avery into the wall, all the while maintaining her silence.
Draco's rage was obvious, from his hostile looks to his tense body. But Skyler's rage was apparent only in her violet eyes, and it simmered there, like a deadly flame that could erupt into a full fledged fire at a moment's notice. While the brunette appreciated her boyfriend stepping in, the brunette wanted to prove to both boy's exactly why she was a Slytherin, and why she shouldn't be messed with.
So when the blonde held his hand out, the teen ignored it, moving forward toward the Gryffindor boy, and though her wand remained in it's place behind her ear, and though she was merely a little more than half either boy's size, the brunette had never looked so intimidating. Perhaps it was the way she pulled herself to her full height, or the way her eyes burned so fiercely that they practically glowed. Whatever the case may be, it was never clearer than at that moment that she was indeed, a Riddle.
She pressed past Draco, ignoring his growls, and delivered her own threatening blow. Skyler was not worried about any kind of attack from the Gryffindor, and there was no hesitation as she leaned over to hiss in his ear much like the blonde had. And much like a true snake, the sound was soft, and deadly. "If you ever attempt to touch me in any way, shape, or form again, I will make whatever he does to you look like child's play."
The teen grinned much like a child at the very thought, as if she somewhat hoped it came to that, and as if she would enjoy torturing him in whichever way her mind came up with. It was this insane, excited grin that was scarier than the all the rest put together, and which showed the dark and dangerous side of the normally playful and easy going teen. The Slytherin allowed it to morph into her patented Riddle smirk as she backed away without fear or worry, taking her place beside Draco and slipping her hand into his easily.
But she had a few more parting words, just to make sure the Gryffindor got it through his thick skull. "And I say attempt Avery, because you will quickly find that I will always be out of your reach. Now would be a good time to leave, before I decide to involve professor Snape, who we all know would make you serve detentions for the rest of the year." Her tone was cold, and devoid of anything but extreme dislike and malcontent. |

| For a split second he thought he might accomplish what he had out to do since he had stumbled upon the two slytherins but his luck did not hold out and he quickly realized his mistake. It wasn't quick enough though and barely any time had passed since he had asked for the kiss when Malfoy had moved past Skyler and quicker than Avery could have expected there was a pain like no other pulsing through his body beginning in his privates. It was a low blow for a low blow it seemed and it happened no fast he didn't have time to even think of the howl of pain that he made when the male snake's knee made contact with his groin in a very harsh and painful way.
He had doubled over and cupped himself in his anguish when a sharp pain to his scalp told him something or someone had taken hold of his hair and the furious threat in his ear told him it was Malfoy. Avery had a feeling he would have found himself against the wall without the angry shove that had his head smacking the stone with a slapping sound after which he kind of crumpled to heap. It wasn't what he had pictured happening and he could barely breathe from the pain in his privates much less do anything else. Somewhere he knew he was angry for the humiliation he was suffering in the presence of the girl he wanted to touch so badly and he would repay Malfoy back eventually but not now when he looked so pathetic.
His watery eyes opened to see a blurry figure approaching and he blinked to clear them to find it was Skyler only she didn't look at all happy but like she wanted to kill him. Avery opened his mouth to speak but closed it again when he caught site of the look in her eyes that had the hairs on the back of his neck standing up. She delivered her own hissed threat and it sent a chill down his spine and as crazy as it was Avery had never wanted anything more than he wanted her then. She looked like some dark angel from hell and when she stepped back he followed in a dumb sort of stupor. He had been warned away but that only enticed him further. "You wouldn't." He croaked out in a raspy and high pitched voice. |

| Barely containing his laughter at the idiot boy’s position on the floor, Draco had to stop himself from choking as the kid’s eyes grew wide with Skyler’s threat. He didn’t know what she’d said, but the look in her eyes made it clear that she was not to be messed with, and even the blonde Slytherin was a bit afraid of her. He also wanted to drag her to the nearest alcove or closet and shag the living daylights out of her. Oh Salazar was she ever sexy…
He smiled as she made her way back to him, even though her refusal of his hand earlier had stung a bit. It seemed they were at least a little okay now, and she was angry enough at the Gryffindor that he didn’t have to worry about the sod getting a hand in for a quick feel. He was pretty sure if looks could kill the boy would have already been dead a few times over, and Sky would literally rip his balls off if he so much as tried to touch her again.
Suddenly, Draco couldn’t help it and let out a loud guffaw as the boy actually started crawling toward his girlfriend. This kid just didn’t know when to give up! The high bitched squeak that came out of the boy had Draco doubled over in laughter as he watched in complete shock the display of utter stupidity. “What the bloody hell is wrong with you?” he choked out between peels of laughter. It seemed like the fool had a death wish for sure, and Draco wasn’t about to step in and stop his girlfriend from whatever punishment she felt appropriate.
”You Gryffindorks really like to push the envelope as far as that bravery trait is concerned. You realize there is a very fine line between brave and dumb as hell, right? And you’ve gone way over it tonight?” Draco shook his head at the poor sod and took a bit of pity on him, trying to push him away with his foot before Sky could curse him. ”She’s not interested. Now go the hell to bed.” It was a half-hearted attempt, but at least he’d tried to keep the boy from losing his manhood. It was a public service to allow Skyler to do whatever she wanted to punish him. The kid deserved it.

| Skyler's purple eyes blazed to life with fury when again, the Gryffindor did not heed her warnings. For a moment the brunette was saddened that the guy she had counted as a friend had fallen down the totem poll to someone she looked at as scum. But this only infuriated her further because Skyler considered herself an excellent judge of character. The fact that he had slipped past her usually outstanding radar hit a nerve within the small girl, and this time she didn't hold back one sliver of her anger.
While her boyfriend laughed his arse off and tried to force Avery away with his foot, Skyler remained calm and collected, the look on her face almost passing for bored if it weren't for the fire blazing in her eyes. The brunette cocked her head, a devilish and truly concerning smirk uncoiling slowly on her lips as she raised her wand. "I did warn you." She addressed the Gryffindor simply, no part of her tone reflecting her anger, but there was a hint of anticipation in it as she flicked her wand and muttered the incantation to a spell she had only ever read about and had never before considered using.
It was hard to tell at first whether it worked or not, because Draco's knee to the boys' groin had caused a permanent look of pain to be drawn on the Gryffindor's face, and Avery's current position made it hard to tell if the bleeding had started yet, though Sky was sure if her spell had worked, the boy would be either crying or screaming soon. Maybe even both. A childish grin split her face when a glass jar appeared in her small hands, and she didn't need to look to know that the Gryffindor's testicles would be inside.
Tucking her wand behind her ear she shoved the jar into the blonde's hands, and without a look at the fallen lion on the ground, the Slytherin moved to continue on with her patrolling duties, satisfied grin on her face. Sky knew there was no way in hell she would get away with her most recent action, but it didn't make it any less satisfying, and she felt no remorse for her action, which was either cause for concern or brilliant. After all, she hadn't done anything that couldn't be reversed. And she was merely teaching a lesson. One that included people learning there was more beneath the surface of grins and jokes. "He might need the hospital wing." She called out to her boyfriend uncaringly, truly not caring whether the Gryffindor bled to death at this point. |

| He realized his mistake a second too late and he knew this by the look in her eyes and he knew now that the one he needed to worry about was not the male snake but Skyler. He really was afraid for his own well being now when she smirked at him and barely heard the laughter of Malfoy he was so focused on the slytherin girl.
Avery felt now was the best time to make a run for it but his legs would not cooperate and the next thing he knew he felt an impossible excruciating pain between his legs and a warm liquid that could only be blood seeping through his pants. His mouth opened in a silent scream and his grew wide when he saw the objects she held in a jar. Part of him didn't want to believe it but he knew what exactly she had done based on the pain he felt and it was so painful the gryffindor collapsed in a heap of unconsciousness instead of staying awake and dealing with the pain. |

| Watching while the laughter coursed through his system, Draco noticed the evil glint in his girlfriend’s eyes and the cruel way she seemed to enjoy the appearance of the jar. The blonde stared at it, then at his girlfriend, and finally at the boy who was slowly becoming covered in blood starting at his crotch. As the jar was thrust into his hand, he struggled to hold it without flinching and nearly dropping the damn thing, which would really not be good for the now passed out Gryffindor.
Draco sputtered a bit, looking between the passed out boy and the girl who’d just cursed his balls off. ”Oi! Woman!” he yelled after her, cold eyes wide with shock. ”What the bloody hell am I supposed to do about all this? You cursed him. Why can’t you take him to the damned hospital?” He knew her retreat would not be stopped so easily, though, and growled in frustration. He’d end up accused of doing the deed, and he didn’t exactly want to admit that his girlfriend had just emasculated a Gryffindor in the worst possible way because he’d been too busy laughing to kick the kid’s arse.
”Dammit, this is so not how I wanted to spend my evening…” he muttered, approaching the boy with wand drawn to levitate his limp form. ”And if I get crotch blood on me I’m going to hurt you!” he added in the direction his girlfriend had retreated. With a shake of his head, he took the boy to the hospital wing, sure he’d be in for a long lecture and most likely a good amount of detentions when he claimed not to have cursed the kid but wouldn’t say who had. Let the professors try and figure it out on their own.
Of course, this might mean that the kid didn’t get those detentions with McGonagall that Draco had promised him, but this would probably stick in his mind a bit better anyway. It was worth the loss, in the blonde’s opinion. He only hoped he’d manage to get out of the lecture early enough to catch up with his girlfriend before she managed to go to sleep. He had a bit of pride to apologize for.

| Skyler was only a few feet away when she heard Draco call out to her, the appalled tone of his voice making her snort in amusement. The brunette paused mid-step, turning only her head to give the blonde a sweet smile that in no way belonged on her face in the wake of what she had just done. "Because you don't want to end up in the same predicament as him?"
The violet eyes still burned with anger at him and the Gryffindor, and though she probably wouldn't hex off Draco's bits unless he really did something to deserve it, like betray her, she didn't regret the threat to do so. There was more than one way to make him pay for his habit of considering her some dainty flower that needed looking after. She just hoped the little demonstration she had just put on did the trick. If not, well, she's come up with something to get it through his thick skull.
Turning away again uncaringly, the teen resumed her stroll in the opposite direction, laughing outright at her blonde boyfriend's threat. "I'd pay to see that." Sky called back to him, throwing him a challenging smirk over her shoulder as she did, her eyes lighting up at the idea. Clearly, the brunette looked forward to him making good on his threat, and showed excitement toward the idea rather than fear. Turning away from the site of him and the Gryffindor once again, Skyler decided to test her boyfriend's patience a bit more, strutting along swinging her hips in a way she knew would both be delicious and infuriating for him.
Something about his jealous rage earlier had her losing her inhibitions quickly, and she faked a loud yawn. "Merlin I'm tired. You might want to hurry up if you plan on catching me before I get to bed." Smirking now, the teen continued on her way, anticipating the blonde's return. If he made it back before she got to the common room that was. |
