(OOC: For more information about some plot happenings and a great description of Ginny’s outfit, read the thread in the Gryffindor Common Room titled ‘Getting Things Out’. (it’s still in progress, but the description of Ginny’s appearance is in the first post. Very Happy))

Strolling out of the portrait hole, Ginny felt light hearted and relieved. Things had gone better with Harry than she’d dared to expect, and now she felt like she could really focus on whatever the dashing boy had planned for her tonight. She ran a hand through her long red locks, checking the corridor for her date. She’d told him to be there at eight, and it was about four minutes til. She hoped he wasn’t going to stand her up.

The girl had thought about what he might plan since she’d set the time earlier that day. She hadn’t exactly given him all that much notice to come up with something, but she figured Riley was a creative guy. He’d figure it out. A familiar head of dark hair bobbed through the hall as Ginny grinned, putting her weight on one leg as she drew a little circle with the toe of her other foot. Her hands were clasped behind her as she watched the boy approach, and she felt suddenly excited and nervous.

Why was she feeling like such a girl? It was bloody annoying! She flashed him a smile as he reached her, licking her lips before speaking to him. “So, what did you end up planning for us, birdy?” she asked, a bit of fire in her eyes. Ginny was ready for a fun night, and she had a feeling the boy wouldn’t disappoint. She also really wanted to kiss him, so she gave in to her desires and leaned forward, searching out his lips with her own.

She looked good and nervous and that brought a smirk to his face. He might have thought he had lost his touch if she hadn't been. His stride paused and he looked her up and down with an appreciating gaze and then sauntered forward flashing his best crooked smile.

Riley himself was dressed in his blue and grey muggle paintball gear. It had taken an hour or two before the idea had hit him and he had figured that since the witch was a pureblood she wouldn't know a thing about the sport but it was a favorite past time of his and he wanted to share it with her. He had a feeling she would enjoy herself with it since it was something new and not the least bit romantic and there was a high probability of gaining a few bumps and bruises while playing it. He just hoped she wouldn't be disappointed that there wasn't any brooms involved in this sport but if she was he had a back up plan. Every good guy had a back up plan for a date.

His shirt was long sleeved and of jersey like make much like the little ginger's was with the exception that his was large enough to cover his upper torso which was needed in paintball but it showed off his toned body well enough. His pants were not jeans but more like a uniform set with the shirt he wore and they covered the length of his legs and also came with built in pads. His hands were hidden behind his back as he strode toward her.

He came to a half in front of her and shook his head at her question and denied her the kiss she obviously wanted. That was good and she should want it and Riley would make sure she kept wanting it too. This was just a little pay back for being a tease. He grinned a ruggedly handsome grin at her and brought his hands forth to reveal a uniform much like his but it would prove to be smaller in size and purple and grey in color. "As much I enjoy looking at you in that outfit," Riley paused her to look her over again and licked his lips appreciatively, "you'll need to wear this for our date."

He held out the outfit to her which was folded neatly with a single violet colored rose on top and what made this rose so incredibly unique was that the petals were aflame with a blue fire. "It's safe to touch. I have an affinity for fire charms and the flower is charmed to last forever. Unless I piss you off and you decide to destroy it of course." He flashed her a grin then. " I know you said no romantic crap so I hope you'll forgive this one transgression of mine. I promise it will be the only romantic thing for the rest of the date."

A pout worked its way onto her lips as the redhead was denied the kiss she so craved. Instead, she was handed a padded outfit that had her very curious about just what the boy had come up with for their little date. The flower caught her attention, and she had to admit she was charmed. It wasn’t so much romantic as it was badass, and she loved that. She laughed at his assessment that she could destroy it if she so desired. “Good to know. All this padding has me a little worried, though. You know I collect bruises. I don’t like to hide what marks I’ve earned…”

She gave him a look before turning around and slipping back into Gryffindor Tower, rushing to her dorm to change in a flash. She was pretty sure Harry sent her a questioning look, but she ignored it, bounding back out into the hall before her date would even have time to think about much of anything. She prided herself on how fast she could change, what with the hectic nature of her upbringing. She’d left the flaming flower pinned to her headboard, and if any of her roommates touched it she’d hex them to oblivion.

Shooting the Ravenclaw a smirk, Ginny placed her hands on her hips and posed in her new outfit, which hugged her curves nicely despite all the padding. “So, what do you think?” she asked, smirking at him. She was excited for whatever he had planned, and she was eager to get going. “So what exactly does this date entail, oh properly unromantic date of mine?” Taking a bit of a dare, Ginny sauntered over to the boy and actually took his hand. If they were on a date, they might as well hold hands, right? It wasn’t too sappy, after all… At least, that was what she would continue telling herself as she let the boy lead her through the castle.

"Oh believe me you'll still get bruises with what I've planned. The padding is just to take the sting out." He told her cheerily. Riley had no problems indulging her and was quite sure he had invented the perfect date for the little ginger. He wouldn't treat her like a piece of glass that would break easily. She looked durable enough and he had seen her play quidditch enough to know she could take a hit and gave them just as frequently as she got them.

Riley leaned against the wall opposite the portrait of the fat lady and waited for the red head to come back out. When she did finally reappear he wasn't disappointed. He pretended to hate it. "It's terrible. Bloody awful. I've never seen anything so hideous." He said in an almost serious tone but his crooked smile and the roll of his eyes gave away that he was playing.

He took her hand naturally and pulled her to him until she flush against him and before she could pull away or make any move to stop him he pressed his lips to hers. Riley deepened the kiss a little with his free hand sinking into her long think red locks. It was only when breathing became an issue that he pulled back and smirked at her kiss swollen lips. "It's a surprise little ginger. But I promise all the bruises you could want." He tugged her by the hand and led her through the castle and out the front oak doors and to the quidditch pitch.

Riley had spent most of his afternoon setting up the pitch for his purpose and he thought it looked great and it was lucky he was really good at transfiguration or he would have had to go a different route for their date. It was no professional paintball arena but it would serve their purpose fine. There were what looked to be inflatable bunkers to hide behind set up all over the place and a table at one end of the pitch set up with the paintball markers and the other gear they would need. Also there was two broomsticks. Riley led her over and asked, "So what do you think?"

Riley kissed her and Ginny felt her whole world light up. Merlin, this guy could kiss! When he pulled away, the redhead found herself gasping for air and laughing a bit as he pulled her along toward the entrance hall and out onto the grounds. It didn't even matter that he had teasingly pretended not to like her outfit. The kiss told her everything she needed to know. Her eyes lit up as the entered the pitch, and she gazed in wonder at the set up that she instinctively knew the boy had spent hours working on. It really was incredible. Of course, she had no idea what it all was, but it still impressed her.

Ginny grinned, turning her attention to the Ravenclaw as she licked her swollen lips. “I think it’s bloody brilliant!” She looked at the table, trying to figure out what the items were. They were rather funny looking, and she really wasn’t sure what the two would be doing. It looked almost like a battlefield of sorts, however, and that was promising at least. Ginny could definitely get behind some sort of battle-date.

“So, are you going to explain this date? Or do I have to figure things out for myself?” she asked, running her fingers over the items there, pinching a little purple ball that she’d found and squeaking as it exploded in her fingers, spurting paint all over her hand. “What in the world..?” Now she was thoroughly confused. What on earth was she in for?

It was satisfying to see and also hear her take on what she had seen of their date so far. She was the only witch pureblood or not to show proper enthusiasm for the sport Riley held above all others including quidditch. Maybe they were more like dead even but that was beside the point. His smile at that moment was larger than life and he laughed at her as she broke one of the balls in her fingers, paint squirting all over. "We're going to play paintball little ginger. It's a muggle sport."

Riley loved explaining paintball nearly as much as he loved the sport itself so he was enthusiastic but he paced himself so she would understand. "That there is a paintball. We load the paintball markers or guns with them and shoot them at each other. There's different types of games we can play but I've set this one up for capture the flag." At this point he demonstrated how to load up the paintball guns and aimed at one of the bunkers that was set up smack dab in the middle of the pitch with a tall white flag stuck in the earth and pulled the trigger. The ball was released and too fast to see it in its path but when it hit there was a splat sound and the electric blue paint showed clearly on the bunker.

He turned to her with a grin. "As you can see they travel fast so when they make contact it's with enough force to crack the shell and splatter the paint. Generally the object is to make it through the game without getting hit. That's why we have these bunkers to dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge behind."

Loading her own gun while the boy demonstrated how to shoot, Ginny smirked mischievously. This was going to be fun. She slipped the purple capsules into the machine, sealing the holding tank and clicking the little latch into place so that the trigger felt pliable under her finger. “Alright then…” she muttered, sticking out her tongue and winking her left eye as she aimed with her right, seeming to be shooting for the same spot Riley had just hit.

At the last possible second, she whipped the gun around and shot at Riley’s abs, a flirtatious smirk on her face. “Like that?” she purred, turning on her heel and darting off into the distance with a musical laughter following her. Surely the boy would be hot on her heels, and she was definitely not looking forward to his revenge. She was sure that had to sting a bit. Ginny jumped behind one of the barriers that Riley had mentioned, breathing deeply and trying to think about how she’d get to the flag.

In her haste to get changed, the girl had actually left her wand up in her dorm room. Stupid, but she was sure if there came a need for a wand the Ravenclaw could take care of her. “Okay, so, need to not get hit, aim for him, and attempt to get that damned flag. Right. How am I going to do this?” she muttered to herself, seriously wondering if she should have gotten more of an explanation of things before bolting off and starting all the fun.

Of course, ‘keep moving’ should have been on that list of things to do. It wasn’t even thirty seconds since the words left her that Ginny felt a stinging pain on her left butt cheek and she whipped around, glaring at the emptiness behind her. Damn Ravenclaw sneaking up on her… She was off again, running to another blockade and searching for some sort of strategy. She didn’t much care for this cat and mouse game, especially when she was the rodent.

"Oompf." The little witch shot him. Close range too. That was going to leave a nasty mark. He had bent double when the ball had made impact leaving its light purple paintball over his shirt. He grinned anyways because she appeared to have the hang of it and seemed to like the idea and hoped it wasn't just that she liked the idea of shooting him. That would be cause for worry.

He did what any normal teenage bloke would do and gave chase to the little ginger. Not before grabbing the helmets from the table and then he took off getting himself behind one of the bunkers. He rested his gun upright next to him and pulled on his helmet and yelled out, "You'll be needing this little ginger! Wouldn't want to hurt that pretty face of yours!" He taunted and tossed the helmet up in the air so she could see where it would land from wherever she was. It was also a ploy to get her to come out from behind wherever she was hiding. If he knew where she was he could track her movements and beat her to the flag.

He picked up his gun and made his way stealthily towards the next set of bunkers and peeking over them to see if she would be coming from that way.

Compliments were always nice, but this was obviously not a compliment. It was a taunt. A tease. And she needed the damn helmet. She groaned, knowing she’d give away her position and most likely end up turning partially blue for her trouble. Lovely. At least she didn’t have to fear the boy going easy on her. Yeah, Ginny was pretty sure she’d made a good choice in this one. He’d put up a fight, and she liked that. Anyone who would lay down and let her win wasn’t worth her time.

With a determined scowl set on her face, the redhead ran for the helmet, doing a bit of a roll, grabbing it, and leaping behind another bunker. She thought she saw a bit of blue and grey, so she took aim and fired a few shots, but she didn’t stick around to see if any contact was made. He’d better not be holding back from shooting at her, or she’d kick his arse once this was all over.

The flag waved in the distance and Ginny set her sights on it. The goal was to capture it, right? Well, then that was what she would do. She remembered noticing two brooms near the table when they’d started their little date. Hmm… that could be useful. It wasn’t like Riley had set any official rules or anything.

With her plan set, Ginny set off in the direction of the table. There wasn’t as much cover, but it was worth the risk to get to a broom. Hopefully the Ravenclaw would be too distracted by his own mission for the flag to notice her dash for her own personal trump card.

There she was his little ginger. Rolling around for the helmet. Good for her he thought. He never had a doubt that she wouldn't be afraid to get down and dirty in order to win though. That's why the shots she fired were not a surprise and almost completely avoided but Riley did feel the sting of one make contact with his right side and another splattering the side of his helmet.

Inside the helmet his smile was huge. What a witch. But he wasn't here to let her win and since she had taken off before he could get to any rules they might have needed Riley had no problems with following her. He aimed a few well aimed shots at her showing no mercy just because she was a witch or his date. He knew she would only be angry if he did and Riley never went easy in paintball.

Judging on where she was headed he could guess she was going for a broom and he planned on beating her to that flag. He convinced himself it was a completely fair move when he used his wand to create a barrier of flames around the table and shooting at her as she raced toward it. They flames wouldn't do more than tickle her but he wasn't about to tell her that.

Smirking inside his helmet Riley turned and took off with the flag in his sights. He dived behind a bunker that was maybe a hundred yards from the one with the flag. There were two bunkers between him and that. That would be enough cover if he knew where the little ginger was. If she was on her broom he didn't have much time because an air attack would kill all his chances. Riley decided what the hell and just went for it in a mad dash to capture that flag before she could swoop in and get it.

Flames shot up in front of her and Ginny skidded to a halt. Damn! He’d figured out her plan and put a fast stop to it. Well then, a plan B would just have to be thought up. She spun on her heel to glare in the direction of the bunkers, only to notice the boy in question running like hell toward the flag. “Why you little…” she’d taken a few hits to the back as she’d run for the table, but she’d barely noticed them since the flames had rather shocked her. Now the stinging was setting in and she was determined to get the boy back.

She knew she would get it from him since she was wide open, but she didn’t really care as she charged. She took a few shots at his chest as she ran at him, then tossed her weapon aside, pumping her arms to get more speed as she ran full-force at her date with a look of pure determination on her face beneath the helmet. Oh, he was going to get it. There was no way in hell she’d let this boy get to that flag before her!

Competitive wasn’t quite a strong enough word to describe Ginny Weasley. She was more… ruthless. Cutthroat. Of the ‘I’m gonna kick your ass’ variety. Yes, that was much more accurate for the redhead, especially as she launched herself at the Ravenclaw like a torpedo, aiming to slam into his stomach and knock him half way across the pitch if she had her way. This would probably end the game for both of them, but Ginny hadn’t really thought about that. She just thought about stopping the bird from making it to the flag that was their goal, and this seemed the most effective means. Hopefully she didn’t manage to injure them too much.

So the little ginger had a competitive streak. The smirk on his face drooped a fraction when his brown eyes caught sight of the red head streaking toward him at full speed and then it became a full grin. It looked like his date would rather knock him on his arse than see him win but Riley could dig that because he would still be the one winning. The little ginger might not be familiar with the muggle car game of chicken but Riley was and that was how he began to think of this new plan she had formulated to keep him from getting to the flag.

His gun got tossed off to the side too and he raced full speed at the little ginger and taking some hits from her marker while he did. Riley didn't have time to consider the stings he felt from the shots because he had to concentrate and his face was set in a determination under his helmet. His timing had to be perfect. Somehow he knew that if he let her slam into him it would be the same as letting her win and that she would be satisfied with keeping him from winning but disappointed he had let her. Riley thought that he would probably live to regret his next action but he had promised her a bruise.

It happened so fast his brown eyes almost didn't catch it because the two of them were moving that fast but at the last second she launched herself at him and Riley threw his body to the side in a dive that had him toppling into the bunker which held the flag.

It was too late to change her mind as Ginny continued flying toward the Ravenclaw. His speed as he came running back at her was disconcerting in the least, and she definitely wasn’t ready for Riley to go shooting off to the side and leave her crashing through the air. Ginny curled herself into a ball as much as she could to try and lessen the damage she was sure to take, landing on her left hip with a loud ‘Oomph’ as she squeezed her eyes shut against the shock of pain. Yeah, that was going to leave a nasty bruise.

Rolling onto her back, the redhead turned her gaze to where the boy had landed, watching in a sort of horror as the flag wavered and slowly toppled from its position atop the bunker, managing to land easily in the guy’s lap. It just wasn’t right how it fell so gracefully for him. Ginny growled, the rested her head back on the ground and sprawled, resting her sore arms and legs as she willed herself to move. The most she managed was to tug the helmet off and chuck it none too softly at her date’s head before laying her head back down and rubbing her eyes.

“You suck,” she grumbled, rubbing her hip and wondering what they might do now that the flag had been won. She also wondered just how many times she’d been hit with blue paint, but she was sure she’d eventually get an answer to each of those questions. It might help if she actually got up, however. Instead, she remained lying on her back, staring up at the night sky.

The time to celebrate his victory would come but the little ginger seemed to think right now wasn't the time because she through her helmet at his head and because he had removed his and wasn't looking at that moment he got a good smack when hers hit him in the side of the face. "Now c'mon little ginger. No sore losers here." Riley told her cheerily from his spot against the bunker. He laid the flag aside and stretched his limbs and his hair was soaked in a blanket of sweat and it stuck to his forehead from his exertion but he was ok with that. Nothing like a good exercise.

Riley lifted his jersey shirt to see the damage from her first shot at him and winced at the huge welt on his abdomen but he consoled himself that it looked worse than it felt. It could have been his face and he considered himself lucky that she seemed to like that part of him. He pulled himself to his feet and started towards the table were he had a bucket of ice set up. The little ginger could collect all the bruises she wanted but he'd be damned if she suffered pain for one for too long while he was around. He must've twisted his ankle on that last move because his left leg was supporting his weight like it should and he moved with a limp and somehow pulled off the look of a returning soldier from war because he stripped his shirt off and tossed it to the ground to reveal a pair of army dog tags looped around his neck.

He smiled crookedly down at her as he passed. "You know might have won if you had grabbed the broom. But even then your chances were slim." Riley winked at her and then gave her a serious look for the first time. "Now stay there and I'll grab some ice." He continued on his limping way and cancelled the fire charm and grabbed a pile of towels tossing them on top of the ice bucket he had ready and slung a red back pack over his shoulder. Picking up the bucket Riley made his back to the witch. It was a slow process but he got there eventually and set the things down and equating over her he asked, "Alright little ginger. Now where are you hurt?"

When the boy said no sore losers, Ginny turned her head to glare at him and stuck out her tongue. So she should probably lose with a bit more grace, so what. Ginny fought hard and she lost hard, too. If this birdy couldn’t handle her aggression then perhaps she’d misjudged him.

Ginny grumbled a bit, but shifted to her side so that her injured hip stuck up toward the night sky. “The landing got me pretty good,” she muttered, tugging her shirt up and shifting the padded pants down low on her hips. There was already a large bruise forming over her hipbone, much to her delight. The pain, however, was frustrating to say the least.

The ice was a welcome feeling of cool soothing, even as it shocked her skin and made her stomach muscles contract. “This how you treat all your dates, or am I just special?” she asked with a grin, trying to mask the grimace as the ice put pressure on the bruise. She’d really hit down hard, and the pitch’s packed earth didn’t make for a very soft landing.

Laying on her side and letting the ice do its job, Ginny stared at the boy and made a face at him while she looked at his abs. “Gave you a pretty good mark too,” she grinned. “You might want to put some ice on that ankle, though. It might be good for you to be able to walk to classes tomorrow after all.”

"Let's just say you're the first witch I felt would appreciate this kind of date." He told her in response to her question as he packed a towel of ice for her and giving his crooked grin. "Not that I mind. A bloke does enjoy a good challenge every now and then. Most of the witches 'round here are pretty repetitive as far as dates go. I happily admit I spent a full two hours thinking of what to do for tonight which beats the usual twenty minutes I spend." Riley didn't have a problem sharing this with the little ginger since one it was the truth and two she had asked.

He whistled lowly at the good sized bruise already forming on her hip and chuckled putting the ice towel on it. "If that's not that best bruise in your collection so far then I didn't do something right." He told her with a wink and laughing. Riley had to admit it was a request he had never received before for a date and that there likely weren't a lot of blokes around who would indulge her on it and he figured that alone earned him points. He looked down at his abdomen to see again the big welt that lived there now and his shoulders lifted and fell in a shrug. "I've had worse." He didn't look concerned at all about it and it was the truth because he had been playing paintball for years among other things and he knew there were worse injuries. "If I'm going to keep dating you I should start my own collection." He added with another wink and icing his ankle like she suggested.

"You just better hope you can sit in class tomorrow." Riley teased her and pulled the book bag towards him and opening it he pulled out a couple of sandwiches and two juice pouches. He didn't know if these were a purely muggle thing but he was muggleborn and he had always enjoyed them for some reason so every year he brought a stash with him. He held a sandwich and juice pouch out to her. "I always feel starved after paintball."

“I’d say it’s pretty high up there, if it isn’t the best,” Ginny mused, thinking of all the bumps and bruises she’d managed with Fred and George. She didn’t think they’d ever quite managed one this huge, though. They’d probably be jealous. This thought made her smile, and she couldn’t help but share her grin with the boy before her. The twins would most likely approve of this one, despite his reputation. They knew Gin could hold her own against anyone, and they also appreciated a guy who could keep their hellfire of a sister on her toes.

She nodded at his words, her smile only growing at he spoke. “You definitely should, because this is only the beginning.” It was her way of saying she wasn’t about to stop seeing him any time soon. It seemed like Riley didn’t mind the idea, and that made the redhead quite happy. Ginny couldn’t help but laugh at the idea of sitting, even as a thought came to mind. “I think I have some cream that Fred and George gave me this summer. Takes the ache out of bruises like that.” She snapped her fingers in demonstration, practically glowing with pride for her clever brothers. “They had to do something about the side-effects of their product testing.”

The food and drink were a welcome sight, and Ginny eagerly took them, taking only a moment to figure out how to work the little pouch before she was sucking the juice down greedily. Her little sprint had left her rather thirsty, and she felt her stomach growl as her eyes locked on the sandwich. “My stomach whole-heartedly agrees,” she laughed, taking a large bite of the sandwich and chewing quickly, definitely showing her lack of femininity. She figured Riley didn’t expect anything else from her, and if he did he was quite daft.

The redhead finished the drink pouch before she’d even eaten half of her sandwich, then peered at the Ravenclaw with an appreciative gaze. “You wouldn’t happen to have another one of those, would ya?” She grinned, enjoying that they were eating a meal that was more like one two guys would share after kicking each other’s butts, rather than some romantic date food. It was very fitting. The guy could listen to what Ginny wanted, and that made her very pleased. This one just might last a while. She couldn’t help but smile at the thought.

So she liked her bruise. That was a good thing. He didn't want to have to start all over for one. And she had said his might even be the best. He had a hard time deciding if that was really a good thing or not and in the end chose to just go with it. It wasn't like he had given it to her and it was more like she had given it to herself. Riley just took pride in that she seemed to have enjoyed herself on their date so far. "Guess I did something right then." He winked at her.

He ate his sandwich thinking this was more like being with a friend and except for the feeling of wanting to snog the witch he thought they would make great friends. This Riley thought he was sure he would end up. As her friend eventually. He wasn't fool enough to think he would be any kind of competition for the boy-who-lived once he pulled his head out of his arse to see the amazing witch Riley did.

He also knew the witch he centered his attention on now was only bidding her time. He knew in the end there would only be one loser here and that would be him and when the time came he knew he would be hurt. He felt more for the little ginger than he had for any of the other witches he had dated and to show that he had fixed her the date she had wanted. Riley was really turning into a masochist.

He laughed at her and nodded not wanting to speak with his mouthful of food and dug a couple more of the juice packs out of the backpack and tossed her one keeping one for himself. Riley swallowed and smiled his crooked smile at her. "I always did like these things." He indicated the juice pouch he took a drink from. "It's cool we share the same taste."

Ginny laughed easily as she caught the tossed juice, grinning as she showed off a bit of her chaser skills. “You’re doing a lot right tonight it seems,” she commented, the ice still calming her bruised flesh and her stomach practically purring in delight at the fullness of having eaten the sandwich. She popped the straw into her new juice pouch and drank about half of it down before returning to conversing with her birdy.

“Very cool, actually. Especially if I can convince you to start collecting fun battle scars,” she grinned. “I don’t know how you’re gonna ever top this date, though.” Ginny was smiling so widely that she thought her face might break. This had really been an amazing evening, and she was so happy. Was it really possible that she could go back to not being with Riley this way? Was she still intending to keep her secret pact with Harry and intend to be with him in ‘the end’?

Thinking about that just made her brain hurt, so she stopped. Her hip felt a lot better already, and she didn’t really want to lounge on her side any longer, so the redhead pushed up to her hands and knees and shot the Ravenclaw a flirtatious grin. She slunk toward him on all fours in a feline manner, the other half of her juice pouch resting forgotten with her ice.

“Now it’s time for the more expected bits of our date, I think,” she purred, lifting her hands up to the boy’s shoulders and grinning at his face. “This is about the time when you should kiss me.” She wanted to keep Riley in charge during this date, since he’d planned everything. Ginny intended to plan something for the two of them for their next little adventure, and that was when she would take control. They each deserved a bit of dominance after all, right?

He laughed at her. "With you around little ginger I don't think I'll have much of a choice in collecting bruises." He was sure he'd end up with them one way or the other and that didn't bother him. It was like a battle scar to wear proudly so he kind of understood where she came from on that end and that was why he indulged her on it. Who was he to not?

He was at a loss for words when she gave him that sultry grin and crawled toward him on all fours. Riley couldn't even think about her bruised hip or much of anything else beside the way her body moved in that delicious way. He groaned and placed his hands on her lower back and pulled her right on top of him. "So now there are expected parts are there?" He asked her and gave his crooked smile. He was teasing her and he was glad that at least a few normal date activities could be followed with her. He let one hand get tangled in her red hair and pressed her face to his and ignored the sting of his bruised abdomen as he kissed her for all she was worth. His lips were strong and expectant against hers and he ran his tongue along her lips probing for entrance he knew he would get.

Ah, his lips against hers were so strong and so welcome. Ginny couldn’t help the moan of desire that escaped her as Riley showed the dominance she craved, and she eagerly parted her lips for his beckoning tongue. Maybe this was what Ron had been talking about when he lectured her back in the common room the other day, but she didn’t much care. It shouldn’t be such a big deal to snog a guy, especially one she was currently on a date with.

Letting all these thoughts go, Ginny focused only on the man who was currently making her body tingle with desire. Her tongue danced with his as she pressed her body firmly against him, running her hands along his chest as she straddled his lap. It was much like their pose in the hallway, but this time there was very little chance of anyone breaking up their fun, and Ginny had no desire to pull away and tease the boy again.

“Yeah, there are some normal things I like to do on my dates,” she said playfully, breaking the kiss to take in some air. She leaned in to grab his bottom lip with her teeth and pulled gently on it, growling low in her throat. Gentle wasn’t exactly something Ginny did, and she was sure Riley was catching on to that fact. Hopefully she was right in guessing he was more for the rough side of life as well.

He wasn't surprised by her reactions and he liked them. The way she was so eager for any contact between their bodies and lips had Riley eager for more too. He left the hand in her hair there but his other he left drift to her ass and used enough pressure to crush her body completely to him none too gently. He knew she would like this and he knew somehow she wasn't one for gentle actions. Her entire person was brash and blunt and he didn't expect any sexual activities to be different.

He explored her mouth with his tongue dominating as he went and forgetting that eventually she would break him. For now she was his and he would take full advantage of that. He groaned in pleasure when she bit his lip and flipped them over so that she was on her back with himself hovering above her and smiled crookedly down at her and one arm supported his weight so he wouldn't crush her and the other gripped her toned thigh. "What are these normal things you speak of then little ginger?"

His hands were perfect on her body, and she loved the noises he made and those he brought out of her. His crooked smile made her ache for more, as she pressed herself up against him, attempting to grind her hips against his body. “Normal things like these…” she trailed, running her nails along his toned chest. She looked at the dog tags that hung down toward her, removing one hand from his body to examine them. “What’s the story behind these, soldier?” she asked, tugging on them to pull his face down to hers.

Ginny captured his lips with hers, still holding the tags in her closed fist. She broke the kiss but kept their lips close, blinking up at him with hooded eyes and slightly swollen lips. “Like these…” Her chest rose and fell with her heavy breathing as Ginny tried to stop her heart from beating so quickly. There were so many feelings rushing through her body, so many things she wanted that she’d never had before. How was it possible for this boy to excite her so much more than anyone else? Sure she’d gone pretty far, but…

“You make me want things, birdboy,” she whispered huskily, lifting her hips toward his again as a groan escaped her throat. They were toeing the line near dangerous territory, and Ginny was pretty sure she didn’t want to take a step back.

Her reactions and the sounds that she made egged on his now raging hormones and Riley was fast approaching the no turning back line. The moment her hips ground up into his lower body was the moment anything but the feel of their two bodies melded together left his mind. He settled himself in between her legs still holding himself up with one arm on the ground and his other brought her leg up to hook around his waist. "Soldier eh? I might like the sound of that."

He smiled his crooked smile against her lips and ground down against her slowly and teasing and when she broke away he smirked down at her letting his free hand trail along her thigh in a massage type manner. "They were my dads. He was in the Royal Air Force." Riley explained and didn't even bat an eyelash. It had been easy to tell her something about his family when anyone else it would've been cause for a change in topic.

He nearly lost all self control when her whispered words reached his ears and her hips were once again grinding into his and creating the most delicious friction. Her groan though had him dropping his head and his lips attacking her neck where he kissed her and Riley knew if he didn't stop then he wouldn't be able to stop at all.

He lifted his head enough to look down at her and was floored to see just how gorgeous she was like this trapped beneath him and wanting. Riley knew what she wanted and it was exactly what he wanted and he had no idea if they wanted it for the same reasons and  he was positive it shouldn't happen on the first date or so soon after her decision to not wait around for Potter. He didn't know how he felt about the witch but he knew he cared enough to not want her to regret anything she did with him and he took it upon himself to slow them down and it took all his strength to do it.

With a groan that showed how much he hated to do it he moved his hand to her hip and held her down and lifted himself away from her. He was still hovering above her but now no contact could come between their bodies and he smiled crookedly at her. "You'll be the death of me little ginger I hope you know that and I hope you know I want the same thing you do right now."

Her desires were getting the best of her and Ginny knew she was losing control as she responded to the kisses and touches. Oh, how she wanted this, yet how she worried about that want. It felt more like a need deep inside her, and that honestly scared her. The redhead had never felt quite this alive, and she’d never dared dream about going this far this fast. Okay, so maybe she’d dreamed about it, but she didn’t actually think about doing it for real! And now, right here, in this moment… it was all she wanted to think about.

A whimper fell from her lips at the loss of Riley’s body against hers. The feeling of his hand moving to her hip was oddly comforting, however, and that made the redhead relax. His words were another soothing note. If he was feeling the same things she was, then maybe Ginny could deal with this all a bit easier. She was sure he’d done this stuff before, but it might still be a bit much for him so soon.

“You’re just as hard on me, soldier,” she murmured, shifting below him in a desperate attempt to sooth the ache within her. Why was this boy making her feel this way? She felt as if she should let him know she wasn’t some whore, but then she didn’t know how to even say it without sounding ridiculous and so she kept it to herself, hoping he wouldn’t assume she did this with all the guys.

The fact that Riley’s dad was in the Royal Air Force was pretty cool, and Ginny found that she really wanted to know more about his family. “You know, I don’t know that much about you. Your family, your personal side that you don’t let the whole castle know about…” She grinned at him, noticing how her libido had started to slow itself down. Maybe she could restrain herself enough to keep this date as good as it had been without taking things too far.

“That’s a normal thing too, you know? People talk about themselves on dates,” she said softly, reaching a hand up to touch his cheek. “We could give that a try. For example, I’m the only girl in my family. It might explain why I’m such a tomboy of sorts.” She shrugged, wondering what the Ravenclaw might thing of her sudden change of action. Hopefully he would support it, since he didn’t seem to want to cross the line the two had been toeing. Plus, Ginny wanted to get to know this boy. She had a feeling this might turn into a lot more than either of them had originally thought.
