Slytherin house had been divided once word got out of the incident the night of the welcome back feast. Half of the house mainly the females camped in Pansy's corner and the other half either didn't want to pick sides or were too afraid of Draco to pick hers. What kept Pansy sated was that no one in the house save for Draco had taken the little American freak's corner. She was either shunned or ignored during times snakes gathered together in the common room or at meals and Pansy always made sure she was there during these times to make sure that didn't change.

It wasn't enough for her. Pansy wanted the freak to suffer like she had and hurt like she had. It wasn't enough that Pansy watched as the girl was forced to rely on Gryffindor's as friends because her own house hated her and it wasn't enough that she could send satisfied smirks and gloating looks at her.

It was a wonderful surprise when the answer to her problem came during her potions lesson and from their Pansy's plot hatched. She immediately made her way to the potions storeroom after class with a list. She would still need time to do it but her fury fueled her in this scheme and she would see to it that she followed through with it.

Skyler had had to race back into the castle and up who knew how many stairs to get to class on time after her run in with that Felicity. Skyler didn't seem to be doing so well with making friends lately as either she rubbed them the wrong way or vice versa. It was one of those predicaments exactly that had led to the altercation with the blonde girl in the greenhouse. The current bane of Skyler's existence, Pansy Parkinson.

Skyler had never met anyone so vial and big mouthed as the older Slytherin, and that wasn't even the half of it. The fifth year might have called her stupid, but that would be a mistake. Skyler wouldn't underestimate someone who had tried to blow her up, and the older girl was in Slytherin, so she had to have some form of brain inside that head of hers. And Skyler wasn't about to make the same mistake twice. She would simply get even.

Life was steadily becoming more and more unbearable in Slytherin house, despite the fact that Draco was in it. Skyler quickly discovered that Parkinson, for whatever unimaginable reason, did seem to have a lot of support in the house. No one dared to so much as speak to her so far, and this, Skyler supposed, was part of the older girl's plan to make Skyler's life as hellish as possible. But not for long.

After her last class that day, Skyler hurried through the sea of students and headed down to the dungeons. From there, the brunette headed to the potions storeroom to pick up the rest of what she needed for her extracurricular activity. It was in the storeroom that she ended up coming face to face with none other than Pansy Parkinson. Curse her luck!

She absently wondered if she should back out and leave, but that was just too cowardly an idea. Even the thought caused her pain. Besides, it was rather ironic that she should bump into the sixth year here while gathering things for the revenge she planned on taking out on her. But this was cutting it it a bit close for comfort, because of she didn't keep her kool and ended up in another wall blowing altercation with the girl, any revenge going forward would immediately be linked to Skyler. Skyler decided the best course of action her was to just get what she needed and get out before anything could get out of hand. So she opted for just ignoring the other girl for the time being, but kept a watchful eye on her.

"YOU!" The screech filled the chamber and bounced off the walls in echo. At first the only thing Pansy could do was stare at the freak with a burning hatred in her eyes and all she could see was red and a picture floating before her eyes of her with her hands around the other girl's throat strangling her. Forgotten was her potions class hatched idea and list still clutched in her hand. Pansy wanted to kill the freak and now was as good a time as any in her fury warped mind.

The need to destroy was building up in Pansy and burning through her veins and before she knew it her wand was again pointed at the other girl and this time she wanted to make sure the freak couldn't move when she blew her up. "Petrificus Totalus!"

The screeching sound that emitted from the older Slytherin had Skyler's ears ringing and she had to fight back the urge to cup her hands over ears. She was sure they would be bleeding if that kept up. The fifth year wasn't stupid and was prepared for anything the older girl through her way, her trusty wand at the ready. Skyler was gripping it tightly, her stance almost casual and unworried as she met the girl's hate filled glare evenly with her own hard and glinting one.

At the first sign that Parkinson was going to send a curse at her Skyler's reflexes reacted instantly, her own wand hand flashing out. "Protego!" The brunette easily through up a shield and sent the spell bouncing back at the older girl. Skyler hoped it would hit it's caster but she didn't let her guard down for one second, keeping herself focused intently on the other girl. Parkinson might be crazy but that didn't mean she didn't lose a threat. Skyler was sure that if she gave the girl a clear shot Parkinson would take it and that could mean big trouble for her, especially since they were alone. She hadn't come for a fight but it was not in Skyler to back down.

The stupid freak threw up a shield and Pansy's eyes widened as her hex bounced back at her and she had no choice but to throw herself sideways to avoid it. She smashed into a wooden cupboard and bounced back off of it but she did not lose any of her anger and didn't notice the pain from the contact. If anything Pansy's fury grew to new heights and she glared with so much hate at the younger girl that if looks could kill she would be dead five times over.

She was far from done. "You little freak!" She shrieked in a high pitched voice and raised her wand again this time to send a stinging hex and she was nearly sure the little freak wouldn't have time to protect herself this time. "Stupefy!" Pansy followed up with a stunner and smirked because she knew there was no way the other could avoid them both and she hoped it was the stunner that hit because if it did Pansy knew exactly what she would do with her stunned body.

Skyler snorted as she watched the older girl throw herself into wall, thinking she probably did more damage to herself with that move than if she had let the curse hit her. Her amusement was short lived however. Very short lived. Skyler's violet eyes darkened until, if one were looking at her, they wouldn't be able to tell if they were purple or black. Her anger just peaked on a new level when the girl called her a freak. Skyler was forced into long forgotten memories of being teased and called that same name when they floated to the forefront of her mind. Of all the insults to choose from, the older Slytherin had to go with that one. Skyler knew there was no way the other could have known that that one word did more hurt than any spell, but she did not care. She was out for blood now.

There was escaping the stinging hex that had been sent at her, and it hit her left shoulder, making her hiss at the pain as she spun out of the way of the next spell headed her way. Skyler dodged it at the last possible moment, and felt it whip past her as she made a full turn, coming back around to face the older Slytherin again. By this time she had a plan, and her face was a nothing more but a look of determination. Her now dark eyes held a mixture of anger and outrage and her wand was already moving through the air, the incantation already passing her lips as she sent her severing charm at Parkinson.

But she didn't stop there. The brunette continued to move, thinking that if any of her spells happened to miss, which she highly doubted, then atleast her movement would be enough to confuse the other girl and give Skyler the upper hand. As she moved, she sent a leg locker curse and an obscuring hex in rapid succession. The fifth year didn't want the girl unconscious. Oh no. Skyler wanted her awake for what would happen after she won this little battle. And she would win. She didn't leave room for losing. A dangerous smirk curled her lips, and deadly glint appeared in her eyes. No. Skyler would not be losing this one.

It was a wonder there wasn't smoke coming out of her nose or fire from her mouth because Pansy looked like a raging dragon and the only outlet she could find to release it was to scream in frustration when the little freak dodged her spell like a ballerina. Pansy had hoped the stunner would hit her but it didn't and she was going to send another at the girl but spells we're shooting back at her from different angles now and Pansy knew she wouldn't be able to avoid them all.

She didn't have time for a shield and tried to duck the first spell but she felt it graze her ponytail and hoped it wasn't something that could damage her hair because if it was there would be hell to pay and a lot of screaming. Pansy made the wrong choice in her movements because she ended up right in the paths of the next two spells and her legs locked together and wouldn't move no matter what she tried telling them and then her vision was gone when something pulled over her eyes like a blindfold.

Pansy immediately brought her hands to her face to try and remove whatever it was but it wouldn't come off and her wand she had dropped in her hurry to fix her vision problem. She was so angry her body was visibly shaking and she screamed in frustration again. Her anger was so much that it almost completely covered her very real fear and for once Pansy had to consider what might happen to her now that she was unarmed and vulnerable and about to pay for what she dished out.

"You'll never get away with this or whatever you're planning!" Her voice was high pitched with alarm and shook a little and she turned her head back and forth trying to use her other senses to figure out what was going on. It had become to silent and she had no way of knowing where the girl had gone or what she had planned.

Skyler watched in a sort of dark amusement when the severing charm she had aimed at the older girl came in contact with the ponytail the other girl wore, cutting it clean off right at the hair tie. The brunette was sure the older Slytherin hadn't noticed this since she seemed more focused on the fact that her legs wouldn't move and now she was currently blindfolded.

Skyler waited silently, allowing the silence to fill the room, until Parkinson could hear her own frantic and scared breathing. Oh Parkinson was afraid, that much was obvious, and Skyler soaked it up like a sponge, breathing it in like she did the fresh air on her trips outside. The gleam in her eyes was still there but her smirk was gone, now replaced with a predatory grin. Generally a nice and easy going person, Skyler had a mean streak a mile wide when it came to defending herself, anyone she cared about, and when it came to revenge. Unfortunately for Parkinson, the older Slytherin seemed to have fallen into all three categories.

"Oh, I think I will Parkinson. You'll make sure of that for me." Skyler finally replied, her tone silky as she closed and locked the dungeon door. "Because you want to keep what little respect and dignity you have don't you? And it's just you and me down here. No one around to witness. So why would you want to rat me out, and in the process, admit that you were bested by a younger student? Tut, tut, Parkinson. That's not clever thinking at all." Skyler delivered her speech with an amused tone, but it carried a dark undercurrent that sometimes even frightened her.

Flicking her wand, she easily casted a spell that would have the older girl's tongue sticking to the roof of her mouth. She didn't want to hear what the other had to say. Skyler was through with talking for the moment. Instead, she asked questioningly this time, but there was still that dark undercurrent. "Do you like rats Parkinson? Because I don't. Dirty, foul little creatures they are. With a mean bite too. I remember getting bit by one when we learned how to transform objects into animals last year." Skyler paced behind the older girl, stooping to pick up the chopped off ponytail now lying on the ground.

Straightening up, the brunette waved the her wand, muttering the reversal incantation to the obscuring charm. She came to stand directly in front of the older witch, but made sure to stay out of arms reach, and displayed the hair to the sixth year with a wicked smirk. "You really should be more careful around severing charms." Her smirk grew back into the same predatory grin she had worn before. Taking a strand of hair from the braid, Skyler dropped the rest and pointed her wand at the strand of hair she held, muttering the spell until she was dangling a rat from its tail. The fifth year tossed it with good aim at the older Slytherin who was stuck in place and mostly mute. She looked the older witch dead in the eye, predatory grin still in place. "How many strands of hair do you think are in that braid of yours Parkinson?"
