| Friday. It was finally Friday, and Ginny felt like it had already been a month, rather than just a week of school. So much had happened! She’d had a date. She’d talked to Harry about said date and the situation of their whole relationship/friendship/whatever it was and that was all settled. She’d discovered that her newest close friend was dating one of her worst enemies, and she wasn’t even that upset about it… Oh, and there was the attack on the pug. Merlin. This had been one of the most eventful first weeks of school ever. And Fred and George weren’t even here! They’d be so jealous!
Herbology with the Ravenclaws had let out early, and Ginny had happily sighed when the group of students piled out the greenhouse door and into the sunny day. It was beautiful outside, and she knew that Riley would probably follow her out along the grounds if he didn’t have anything different planned. She didn’t, however, expect the familiar face of her savior from the train. She grinned at the other girl, leading the way toward the black lake as she removed her school robes to reveal jeans and a black tank sporting the Holyhead logo. It wasn’t her favorite tee, but it was still her favorite team. At least the pug hadn’t destroyed her only Harpies shirt.
She hoped Riley might catch up with her later. She could definitely go for some flying or something with him. For now, some girl time seemed to be in order, as she noticed a familiar figure already sitting at the shoreline. “SKY! You witch,” she yelled, running up to the girl and figuring her Ravenclaw friend would catch up. She almost smacked her Slytherin friend in the back of the head in greeting, but held back. “When the bloody hell were you going to tell me about you and the Slytherin prince of pompousness?” Her hands were on her hips as she glared down at her friend, though a smile was slowly working its way onto her lips. She knew her friend was happy, and that made her happy, too. Even if she was dating a slimy git.

| Skyler looked over her shoulder, a bit startled but pleased to see the mass of red locks flying her way. The brunette was a bit taken aback, and grinned a sheepish grin up at her friend, shielding her eyes from the sun with her hand and snorting at Ginny's greeting. "Nice Ginny. Think you could say that a bit louder? I don't think they heard you back America." Skyler rolled her eyes but her grin never faltered as she was happy to have a run in with the red head. Finally.
Over the past week, which had seemed like a lot longer, she had only really seen her friend in class and during their Parkinson plotting, and there hadn't been much time during any of those interactions to fill the Gryffindor in on what had happened. But Skyler had known eventually the girl would corner her to either get the information she wanted willingly, or beat it our of her. That last thought made Skyler grin even wider. "Probably when you were going to tell me all about you a certain Ravenclaw prefect." The brunette shot back unrepentantly, her eyes sparkling in her amusement. |

| Evangeline hadn't really been paying attention at the lesson,at all.She was lost in her own world, and sometimes even caught herself staring at a specific Ravenclaw.Though the moment she understood it,she always turned her gaze elsewhere, trying to seem less nervous about it.She didn't know why,but that boy was stuck in her thoughts since that day in the Common Room. And after the kiss she had given him,it had become worse. He had completely taken over her head, and she hated, yet loved it at the same time. She had no idea what to do,and that made her vulnerable.
When the lesson was finally over, she had a small war with herself,on whether she should go talk to him,or not. Finally, her shy self got over her,and she sighed, watching him leave the area along with the rest of the class. That's when her eyes caught a specific redhead, who she had saved the day on the train.Evangeline decided to follow her, thinking that it would be good to have a conversation with her about boys, since she was an expert to that, from what it seemed. At least Riley believed so. Maybe Ginny, would be able to help her and give her some advice about it.Though she wasn't sure whether she should mention the guy's name.
As she followed the girl towards her destination, she understood that the Black Lake was where she was going.Of course, stupid.Where else could she go? But what could she be doing there?Riley had left with the other students, and Ginny wasn't the person who you could say liked some 'alone time'. As she got closer though, she saw another girl, sitting by the Lake.Skyler.Evangeline had stumbled upon her in the Quidditch Pitch the other day,and she seemed a nice girl.Different,as everyone called her.
Approaching the two ladies,Eva hoped she was doing the right thing, and that she wouldn't embarrass herself all too soon. "Hello there!Might if I join in?" |

| Plopping down beside her friend on the bank of the lake, Ginny found herself grinning like a loon at the mention of Riley. “Yeah, well…” she trailed, feeling an uncharacteristic blush rise to her cheeks. She really had been enjoying her time so far with the boy. He knew how to shock her, and he also knew what she liked. It seemed her not being one of the typical girls suited him just fine. That made Ginny quite happy.
When the Ravenclaw girl asked to join them, Ginny grinned up at her and patted the grass beside her before laughing a bit. “No, you can’t join in.” She rolled her eyes and tugged on the girl’s leg, hoping she wouldn’t topple over, but also hoping it would get her to sit down and relax. It wasn’t like she and Skyler would bite. Hard.
“Anyway…” she looked at Sky with guilty eyes before sighing and leaning back on her hands, letting the last rays of summer sun warm her freckled skin. “It all started when we snogged on the train. Then we kind of ran into each other in the hall and um… well, we might have kissed again. And then he asked me out. So he took me paintballing.” She didn’t think the girls would know what the heck she was talking about, but she didn’t much care at the moment. She was lost in her own memories just then, thinking of the giant bruise on her left hip from where she’d landed in her poor attempt at stopping the boy from winning their battle.
“So what’s it like dating Malfoy, then? Is he all whiney and dark and talking about his daddy all the time?” She laughed, thinking of the Malfoy she knew from her four years at Hogwarts. Somehow, she imagined he might be different around fellow Slytherins, though.

| Skyler offered a grin when Eva came over to join them as well, shaking her head as Ginny tried to get the girl to sit. She remembered the Ravenclaw as an alright kind of girl from the Quidditch pitch, so she had no problem with her joining their what apparently was going to be girl talk. This was a new experience for her since Skyler hadn't really had a lot of friends who were of the same sex back home. So she told herself to try and not be too irate.
Skyler gave Ginny a disbelieving look. "You mean to tell me that before we even got to Hogwarts you had already made out and beat Parkinson's ass?" She shook her head, grin blooming on her face. Belatedly, Skyler wanted to ask how they knew each other but realized that they had been going to Hogwarts for years before she came along. It wasn't a stretch that they had become friends somewhere in that time. "You sure move fast don't you?" The brunette teased her red haired friend, playfully shouldering the girl.
As Ginny turned the conversation onto her, Skyler couldn't help but laugh a little at her description of her blonde...boyfriend. She made a face. There was just no getting used to the terms and labels for her. Nooo." She advised, with a grin and roll of her eyes. "He's actually a complete gentleman for the most part. When he's not making ridiculous innuendos or trying to tickle me to death that is." Skyler offered in reply, with a shrug, but her sparkling eyes gave away the feelings the blonde boy had awakened. |

| Evangeline smiled as she felt accepted by both girls. She was still nervous about not fitting in,but the girls helped her feel less embarrassed. They were friendly towards her and that gave Evangeline hope for a future friendship.A friendship she never had, until now.And it was silly to think of it.She never truly had friends, either because of her brother,or because she was always hidden in a book, and never took a look at the outside world.Maybe it wasn't as bad to go out and have fun like everyone was doing.Maybe she just had to..let free?
As the Gryffindor started tugging on her leg,Evangeline yelped and fell on her ass, shaking her head and laughing."That hurt, you know!"Sticking her tongue out at the redhead,Evangeline laughed more as she started paying attenton to what they were talking about, and it surprised her to find out that it actually was about boys.Good timing then...,she thought and smiled to herself,as she stopped to listen to everything they had to say.
They started talking about Draco Malfoy, and Eva got lost in her thoughts about Silas, not really paying attention. She had no saying in that matter anyway,so she better go off do something else. But instead of leaving, she decided just to sit there and wait for her turn to speak. She knew that next it would be Ginny's turn to talk about Riley, and after she was done, she would have to tell them her own achievements so far.Though there wasn't much she could say or do.There was nothing interesting about it,since she believed that Silas had no interest in her. |

| Ginny laughed at the Ravenclaw girl, then shook her head at Skyler as she tried to imagine Draco Malfoy tickling someone. “The innuendos I completely expect, but the tickling… are you sure? Are you positive that’s really Malfoy? I mean, I never imagined the ‘Slytherin Prince’ would ever tickle someone.” She laughed, wondering if Malfoy was secretly some softy. Or maybe Skyler had some sort of magic power and was breaking the poor boy. This thought just caused Ginny to laugh even more.
“I do not move too fast, Miss boyfriend on the first day,” she commented, flipping her flaming hair and sighing into the afternoon breeze. “I only went on a date. I haven’t admitted to any sort of official title yet. Thank you very much.” If she told the truth, Ginny was actually a bit jealous of her friend actually having someone to call her ‘boyfriend’ already. The jab at her taking things a bit fast also hurt more than it should. She knew Sky didn’t see her that way, but it brought back Parkinson’s words on the train.
Did the rest of the student body see Ginny as some easy slag? Shaking her head, the redhead turned her gaze to the Ravenclaw girl. It was time to shift the focus before she admitted more than she was ready to. “You’ve been awfully quiet, Miss Faye,” she said with a certain twinkle in her eye. “What secrets are you keeping, hmm? You can tell us.” A mischievous grin slipped across her lips as Ginny encouraged the girl to share her secrets. It felt like they were forming some sort of pact as the three spilled their souls about life and love.

| Skyler wrinkled her nose as Ginny referred to Draco as the Slytherin Prince, and rolled her eyes for good measure. "Please don't ever call him that to his face. His ego is already so big I don't even know how it fits in the castle." Shaking her head, a small genuine and slightly shy smile made it's way to her face and she added in a rather fond tone. "He's actually really very fun, when given the chance I guess." She shrugged, looking at the other two with furrowed brows. It was confusing to her as well because she knew most people were either scared of the blonde or hated him, and Skyler wasn't either. She was sure she knew exactly what it was she felt for him but it was scary enough to think. She didn't feel comfortable admitting it out loud yet.
The brunette snorted but grinned widely, even as a pink tinge rose on her cheeks. Skyler laughed good-naturedly though and conceded. "Fair enough then. I guess I'm the fast one in this group. I can already hear the rumors." She said in a joking tone, clearly amused by this topic. Skyler didn't care what anyone else said or thought for the most part. Those who cared didn't matter, and those who mattered wouldn't care. That was her philosophy. Skyler brought her eyes to Evangeline too, a curious look overtaking her features as a wide grin spread across her face. She nodded her head enthusiastically. "Yea, spill. Because if I have to that means you do too." |

| Evangeline was lost in her thoughts, barely listening tot the girls talking about their new boyfriends. She was happy to know that both girls felt happy and loved, but she had no saying in that matter,so she preferred staying silent.Draco seemed a nice guy,but she didn't really know him personally. They hadn't been hanging out at all since a few days ago.The fencing lesson wasn't bad,but she could still feel the bruises.Riley,on the other hand, was in her house. He was a great guy, just liked to flirt a lot.But the moment he met Ginny, everything seemed to fly away.He was utterly devoted to her, which made Eva curious on how they managed to keep the boys wrapped around their fingers.
She was so lost in her own bubble to understand that the conversation had turned on her though. When Ginny asked her about her little secrets,Eva stared at her,not knowing what to say.Well,it was only fair she told them, since they had shared their secrets with her.Maybe they could help her or advise her for that matter. "W-Well...uhm..there's this guy...I..kinda like him and..umm..I kinda kissed him once..and..yeah.." Looking away,Eva blushed slightly, not knowing what else to say. This happened to be harder than she thought. |

| The more she heard about Malfoy, the more confused Ginny got. Skyler was making her head hurt, so it was a welcome change of subject when the Ravenclaw girl finally brought their attention to her apparent crush. Evangeline didn’t seem to want to tell them a name, but the redhead was sure she could weasel one out of her. Ginny was generally good at getting information from people.
“Well, who is it?” she asked, already having a slight idea. She’d noticed the brunette’s eyes wandering during their Herbology lesson. She wanted to hear it from the girl herself, though, and she also wanted all the details. “And I want all the details about this kiss. You cannot just kiss a guy and then not make a move on him! We need to have many words with you, dear Eva.”
Ginny winked at her Slytherin friend, grinning at both girls. “We should officially begin operation: make Eva and Si-“ she cut herself off before she said the boy’s name, coughing a bit in an attempt to hide the fact that she’d figured out who the Ravenclaw fancied. “Eva and her crush together. What do you say, Sky? Ready to help unite the two love birds?”

| Skyler welcomed the change in topic, not being one who really enjoyed partaking in what could only be considered girl talk. She could stomach it though, as long as the focus was on someone else. So her focus changed to her Ravenclaw friend. She supposed Eva could be considered a friend for now. Only time would tell who actually proved to be a friend, but Skyler had no problem putting the other dark haired girl in the category for the time being, much like she had with Ginny and Harry.
Skyler rolled her eyes at the Ravenclaw's reluctance to share name or details, but she grinned all the same. She could hardly blame her, since she herself hadn't shared much of what could have been shared. And she was glad she hadn't, since Ginny was obviously a nosy rosie and would've pressed for snogging details it seems. The brunette shook her head in amusement, looking out over the water as Ginny questioned their friend, a small grin playing on her lips. "Jeez Gin, let the girl breathe will ya?"
Skyler was interested to know more too, of course, but the Ravenclaw seemed a bit shy and Skyler didn't think pushing her for information was the way to go. Persuasion might work better. "So who is it you kissed Eva? At this point, I don't think you're gonna top me." The brunette grinned. She had absolutely no clue who Eva might have a crush on but she did want to know. Skyler cocked her head to the side, gazing out at the water again.
"Hmm. I'm not sure. I don't really do the whole match making thing." Skyler responded after a moment. "I mean, it's not that I don't wanna help or anything. I just think that it should be a natural thing, ya know? Besides, if she's kissed him it sounds like she's already off to a good start." Skyler didn't want her friends to think she didn't want to help or anything, but she had never really understood the match making thing. It sounded like a whole lot of trouble and from what she heard it tended to end in disaster. |

| Evangeline was staring at Ginny, not knowing what to say to the very excited redhead in front of her.Yes,of course they were sharing secrets here, but she had never been in this position before,so she didn't know what to do or say.Suddenly she felt nervous, and a shiver went down her spine as she kept staring at Ginny. That's until Skyler talked. Eva's eyes darted from Ginerva to Skyler, gulping down. What could she tell them really? That she had simply kissed him because she was kind of dared, and then noting? That she had been daydreaming about him throughout the lessons?Or that she didn't even know what to do next? When Ginny started asking questions,Eva became even more nervous, but thankfully Skyler popped in and cooled things out, making everything less tense.
Taking a breath,Eva was ready to answer one of their questions, when Ginny started talking again, but suddenly stopped mid-sentence.Though Eva had caught on what she meant and was now staring at Ginny wide eyed. How the heck did she know? Was it that obvious? When she was finally done,Eva decided it was time to start talking. "How did you know it was Silas?",she blurted out,not understanding what she had just said.Though when she understood what she had just blurted out,she clasped a hand over her mouth, glancing from Ginny to Skyler. "Uhmm..I mean...It's just....Ugh!" Eva crossed her arms and smiled slightly, not knowing what else to say. |

| Grinning at the Ravenclaw, Ginny ignored Skyler’s words. She didn’t much care about keeping her nose out of other people’s business. Maybe it wasn’t a good idea to play match maker like this, but Ginny could see that her friend wasn’t going to be making any drastic moves on her own. She needed a little push, or perhaps a great shove, in the right direction. And the redhead was determined to provide that shove.
“Oh, just the way you swoon when he answers questions. Or the way you stare at him all through class,” she giggled a bit, purposely looking like a foolish little girl. “You really don’t need to be ashamed. He’s quite the cute one, if you can get passed all the brooding and the family ties.” Ginny wasn’t stupid. She knew there weren’t multiple families of the name Lestrange. “As long as he doesn’t have the insane gene, I don’t see why you shouldn’t go after him.”
She was grinning full on by now, poking at the Ravenclaw. “I mean, Sky’s dating Malfoy. We obviously aren’t following any sort of rules this year.” Playfully, she stuck her tongue out at the Slytherin, wanting to let her know that she was pretty much over the shock of her seeing the ferret boy. She still did want to know what about him had changed, but she figured she’d have to actually spend a bit of time around him for that. That was an interesting idea.
“So, have you talked to him since the kiss? I mean, you gotta flirt! Put the moves on him. You know?” Ginny thought of how she’d talked to Riley after the train ride. That had really been more body language than actual talking, though. “You could always use your body, too.” She winked at the girls, then flopped onto her back, stretching out in the afternoon sun.

| "Silas? As in, Silas Lestrange?" Skyler asked, her tone colored with disbelief. She did her best to keep the scowl off her face. It would do no good to make her dislike of that particular boy known when her friend obviously liked him. Though why or how was a mystery to Skyler. The boy was an irritating little hypocrite in her eyes, and she didn't think he had many redeeming qualities. But then, the teen was sure many people thought the same about Draco, so she choked down the words threatening to fall from her lips. Maybe, like her own boyfriend, there was more to Lestrange than what she had been privy to see so far. After all, everyone deserved a second chance.
Skyler laughed at Ginny and flashed her patented Riddle smirk at her friends. "I never follow the rules. That would be utterly boring." She was happy though, that the two didn't seem to be judging her on her choice of man though, and strived to do the same in regards to Eva, because she had yet to meet Riley. The Slytherin rolled her eyes at the red head, knowing enough about Lestrange from their two meetings that he was more of a subtle character.
She cocked her head, face becoming thoughtful. "He doesn't seem the type to be own over with flirtations and body language. Based on the few run ins I've had with him, I'd say your best bet is to captivate that mind of his." Skyler was sure this was the safest bet, because the boy was obviously a thinker. Her conversations with him always ended up in a massive headache because his talking in circles and more often than not she wanted to strangle him half way through and beat whatever he was trying to say to her out of him.

| Evangeline was still angry with herself over the fact that she had just been tricked into telling them her crush's name, but it wasn't something she would be keeping secret for a lifetime, anyway.Sometime it would be out and why not now,and especially to her two friends. Ginny's words were full of enthusiasm, and made Eva slightly nervous.Of course Ginny was more experienced in these kind of things, but Eva had never really tried to flirt, and all these seemed quite scary. What if she did something wrong? What if Silas didn't like it?And what if he didn't even consider her a friend in the first place? If she wasn't even a friend, how could she be trusted enough to be a girlfriend?
"Is it really that obvious?I mean...It's not like I do it on purpose. For example, one moment I am taking down notes, and the other I find myself sketching his name in my book!I don't even understand how this is happening!" Smiling a little,Eva shrugged and kept on listening, trying to keep as much as she could in her head.It was hard to keep her thoughts on them, while they were talking about Silas. Though when Ginny started saying things about the crazy gene Eva looked at her a little weirdly. "Ginny,he's not like them...I actually offered to help him with his mother.I told him I would be there for him if he needed me.."
When Draco's name was heard again,Eva smiled and laughed."Ginny..Leave Sky alone.Draco is quite a great guy. We've been fencing,if you want to know.He still beats me at it.." The Ravenclaw laughed and shrugged, nudging Skyler playfully. The Slytherin's comment made her smirk though and roll her eyes.Of course..who was she to follow any rules..but now thta she actually thought about it,what had she earned by following the rules?Nothing. So maybe it was time for her to try and bend some of them.
When the Gryffindor started talking again,Evangeline had to stare at her as if she had grown two heads.Okay, she could try getting his attention again, but using her body was certainly not a good idea.First of all,she had no idea whether Silas wanted to talk to her,and second, what if she overdid it with her body and with all the trying? Skyler's approach,on the other hand, seemed a lot more logical and a better option. And it matched her personality way better."Ginny, you know I love you,and I know you're trying to help, but in all truth,Skyler's approach seems a lot better.Me,plus my body, plus Silas...I don't know..." |
