Friday was still a couple days away, and since Felicity had made her plans with Harry and had the run in with the girl in the library she’d been able to put thoughts of her dad on the backburner for a bit. It was time to focus on her true goals, which meant she was out in the greenhouse after dinner with her muggle medicinal book in hand. Her robes and satchel sat beside the door, utterly forgotten for now as the girl kept checking between the yellowing pages and the plants before her. She’d managed to get soil on her jeans, and her white button up was unbuttoned lower than she’d intended due to the heat of the building, but she was so focused on her task that she didn’t really care.

Long blonde hair was pulled back away from her damp cheeks and neck, and her wand was shoved between her scalp and the ponytail holder where it couldn’t possibly move. Most students probably didn’t even realize Madame Pomfrey used a lot of medicinal herbs that weren’t of the magical variety, but Felicity had figured it out about a year and a half ago when she’d first really perused her beloved muggle book on medicinal herbs and flowers. The truth was, medicine was medicine no matter how muggle or magic you were, and certain remedies would always hold some value.

The seventh year peered at the book with a determined look in her green eyes. She was trying to see if she could identify each useful herb and flower without using the picture first. So far, she was doing quite well. She’d managed ten out of twelve, and she considered that pretty good since this was all self-taught. Once she got through the twenty plants on the two pages she’d been working on this evening, Felicity intended to draw diagrams of each plant based on how they actually looked as they were growing before her.

The harder part was going to be when she tried to list their uses and risks involved in utilizing them without using her book. It was her own sort of quiz, and she was determined to do well. The sound of one of Sprout’s clay pots shattering shook her from her studies, and had Felicity turning on her heel, staring at the intruder on her solitude. The foolish girl hadn’t even grabbed her wand from its nest in her hair. Instead, she simply stared at the person with wide eyes, book clutched protectively to her chest. “What are you doing here?”

Skyler had a break between classes that day, so she decided to put it to good use. For most students that would mean getting a head start on some homework, or studying. For Skyler this meant collecting what she needed for what would go down in history as the 'Pansy Revenge'.

Oh Skyler had not forgotten that fateful night she had first arrived at the castle, and since classes had started she had seen a minimal amount of the girl who had attacked her. Which was good for Skyler, because her anger could very well reach it's boiling point before it was time to get even. But there was no escaping the girl at meal times in the great hall, or in the common room.

Skyler didn't know whether it was because they feared the girl or what, but Parkinson did seem to have alot of support in her corner. All the sixth and seventh year Slytherin girls, at the very least. Skyler had to grit her teeth and pretend their laughs and jokes at her expense didn't bother her, which was hard but she managed. She couldn't allow her anger to get the best of her with what she was planning. If she did it would come right back to her. So she took it with her head held high, and waited for the right time.

That right time was rapidly approaching. Skyler could see it in the gloating smirks of the sixth year Slytherin girl that she thought she had got the upper hand, had put Skyler in her place. This was so far from the truth Skyler laughed inside every time she saw the other girl. Like the king cobra, Skyler was just waiting for the perfect time to strike.

Before she could really put her plan into action though, she needed a few things. Hence the trip to the greenhouses between classes. There were a few plants there that Skyler could use for a reason or two, and the easiest time to get them when no one was around to see her at it was in between classes. Skyler entered the greenhouse with her robes open in the front, revealing her muggleware of dark skinny jeans and white tank beneath. She didn't care much for the Hogwarts standard dress code and figured that as long as she wore her robes in class none of the professors would be none the wiser.

She headed to greenhouse two, where she knew what she was looking for would be, and entered the stifling little area. She hadn't expected anyone else to be there. Skyler had never seen her before, so she had to be older based on that fact and she simply couldn't possibly be younger than Skyler was. The blonde girl was hugging a book to her chest and Skyler's purple gaze was curious in nature, but she arched one dark brow at the girl. "I could ask you the same thing." Skyler shook her head at the girl, taking a strawberry flavored lollipop from her robe pocket, unwrapping it and popping it in her mouth casually while she continued into the greenhouse. Her eyes looked here and there as she searched for what she had come from while she addressed the other girl. "Don't mind me. I'm just doing my own thing. You know, for purely academic reasons of course." Skyler flashed a grin at the other girl that didn't hide the mischief in her eyes.

This younger girl was definitely not what Felicity had been expecting to run into today. She’d maybe expected Professor Sprout to wander in, to which the girl could simply explain her studies and continue as she had been doing. She’d even expected someone to tease her about her obsession with the muggles, since many of her fellow seventh years knew about her hobby. The blonde girl had not, however, expected anyone up to some sort of mischief and trying to pretend not to be.

These were the moments when she knew exactly why she was never made prefect. The girl couldn’t hold her own against a wrong-doer for anything. Even this girl, who was obviously younger and should respect an older student, would be able to walk all over her without a second thought. The only time Felicity was actually able to stand up to people was when they mocked muggle things, and that was just because of her own need to validate her life’s goals. She suddenly felt rather pathetic, and a frown worked its way to her lips.

“Right,” she mumbled, looking a bit panicked now. “Maybe I should get Professor Sprout to help you then…” She had a feeling the girl wouldn’t like that idea at all, but Felicity didn’t know what to do in this situation. It was clear that this girl was up to something, and Felicity didn’t know how to stop her. What if she was going to hurt someone? Didn’t the Hufflepuff have some sort of responsibility now? Wasn’t she guilty by association if something bad did end up happening?

She nervously bit at her bottom lip, intending to move toward the door but frozen in place. Apparently her threat only went so far as her words. Her actions were lacking, and she was sure the younger girl would laugh at her at any given moment. Felicity was torn between wanting more information from the girl and wanting no information whatsoever. She wanted to excuse herself from the whole situation and scurry back to her dorm, never to worry about the purple-eyed troublemaker. But then she’d feel guilty.

Felicity didn’t deal well with guilt. It would eat her up and then she’d end up running to a teacher and explaining everything and it would all come back to bite her and she just didn’t have time for all of that. So she stood there awkwardly shifting her weight from one foot to the other, looking at the girl with worry clear in her green eyes. “You… um… I mean, you really shouldn’t do anything you’ll regret later…” she trailed, wishing she sounded a bit more convincing. This was really not going to end well. Somehow she just knew it.

Skyler quirked a dark brow at the older girl, a grin forming around the great in her mouth. What makes you think I'm doing anything I would regret?" The Slytherin ignore the girl's meek threat to get Professor Sprout, as the girl seemed to be all talk and very little action. She couldn't find it in herself to get annoyed with the other, even if she thought the girl should keep her nose out of Skyler's business. If truth be told, the girl had no idea what Skyler was up to, and Skyler certainly wasn't about to hurt anyone. Atleast, not in a physical sense. And not someone who didn't deserve it.

But the brunette had to be logical. She hadn't really expected to run into anyone here, and part of her plan depended on not being tied to the outcome of her endeavor, so she figure she would need to blow this over before the girl really did find a way to ruin all of her carefully laid out plots. "Besides, I'm only collections a few things for a potion Professor Slughorn is making me do over on account that my first was not adequate enough."

Skyler delivered this with just the right amount of annoyance, and she rolled her purple eyes to reinstate the fact that she was irritated at having to do the work over again. It wasn't a complete lie per say. She was making a potion after all. It just wasn't of the academic kind, and Professor Slughorn hadn't sent her to get the ingredients. Oh well. Sometimes a little color had to be added to the truth in order to create a good bluff.

Seeing the annoyance in the other girl’s features brought some semblance of calm to Felicity, and she let out a breath she hadn’t realized she’d been holding. “Oh, well, in that case…” Setting her book aside, she approached the younger girl as her need to help took over. “Maybe I can assist you in finding what you need?” Her offer came with a small smile.

Felicity felt as if she should apologize for judging the girl, but the look in those eyes had been so… mischievous. She’d been sure the girl was up to something. Maybe that was just the way this girl held herself though. It wasn’t like there weren’t some people who just naturally seemed like they were always up to no good. Those twins who’d left last year had been that way… Of course, they usually were up to something, but that wasn’t the point. Right?

Now the Hufflepuff was confused, so she simply shrugged and offered the girl a friendlier grin, hoping they could start off on better footing now. “Sorry,” she said simply, holding out a hand to shake. “I’m Felicity. Seventh year. I’m studying some of the herbs that muggles use in medicinal practices.” She wasn’t sure that the other girl would care exactly why she was there or what she was doing, but she wanted to share something about herself, so she did. It was her nature to attempt to make new friends, so Felicity tended to share more information than most people felt necessary.

“So, what potion are you working on?” If she knew what potion the girl needed to reproduce, she could help her find all the necessary plants in next to no time. Then she could get back to her diagrams before she had to leave the greenhouse for official studies. It really was too bad there weren’t more muggle classes offered at Hogwarts. Muggle Studies didn’t cover much of anything important in the society. It was rather ridiculous to anyone who actually knew anything about muggles, really. She sighed at the thought, but smiled again at the younger girl. At least she’d have a bit of company.

Oh for the love of all things holy! What was this, twenty questions? Skyler had had enough of that particular game to last a lifetime. Now she had the world's most helpful girl threatening to ruin all her plans because she wanted a name of the potion. Skyler had to remind herself to remain calm and not send a biting remark back at the older girl, who she now knew as Felicity, lest she wanted to get caught in her lie. But she couldn't very well tell the actual name of the potion.

Keeping her face open, Skyler shrugged at the blonde's question, rolling her eyes again. "I'm not entirely sure actually. I wasn't paying attention to that part." It came out honest enough sounding, and Skyler tried not to look as guilty as she felt, but she had never been exactly good at looking innocent. "Muggle medicine? Really?" She questioned the other girl rather quickly in a bid to change the subject from herself to the other. Skyler knew most people could be mislead when you redirected the topic of conversation to something they enjoyed talking about. So while she really had zero interest in what the other girl had been doing, Skyler risked boring herself half to death in an attempt to keep the other's questions at bay.

Her smile faltered slightly as the girl admitted to not knowing the name of the potion. Did she really pay this little attention in class? That would explain the need to remake a potion, she supposed. It was very irresponsible, however, and Felicity was tempted to point this out. Luckily, the girl asked about muggle medicine, and Felicity was pleasantly distracted from her desire to reprimand her for not paying better attention.

“Oh, yes. Muggle medicine is my hobby of sorts. I guess you could say it’s my passion, actually,” she said, a shimmer coming to her eyes. “I want to become a nurse when I leave Hogwarts. I’d love to assist surgeons with their work. Help to perform operations on people. I’ve even been thinking of investing in a medical student kit so I can practice with injections and such things.”

The only problem was, Felicity didn’t have the extra money for those things. They were rather expensive, and being the daughter of a single mum left her without a lot of extra things. She’d been working at the bar during the summer, but that money went to her school supplies since seventh year demanded so much. In truth, the girl wasn’t really sure how she was going to meet her goal. It seemed like she’d gotten as far as she could with her independent studies, and without the practical parts, she was doomed.

Then there was the fact that she’d have to attend a muggle school to get certifications as a nurse. And that cost money as well. Everything cost so much, and it was the one thing she didn’t have. Money. All she wanted to do was help people. Why did you need money to do that? “Anyway… what did you say your name was? We should probably find you those ingredients.” She hoped the younger girl at least knew what she needed. If she didn’t know the name of the potion or the ingredients, the pair wouldn’t get anywhere.

"That sounds...interesting, to say the least." Skyler really had no idea why the girl would be so interested in muggle medicine, when she could focus on being a mediwitch or something. If she were being honest, this Felicity girl's speech hadn't been so boring. The blonde seemed to really be passionate about what she was speaking about, so it made it hard to find what she said boring. Skyler absently wondered why, if she loved it so much, she didn't try to find a way to combine the two. In Skyler's mind, that led the chance of helping twice as many people. But then, she was no medicine expert so she didn't bother asking.

"Oh! Right. My name is Skyler. Skyler Riddle. But you can just call me Sky. Or Riddle. Whichever you prefer really." The brunette offered with a graceful shrug of her shoulders, grinning around the great in her mouth again. "And I'm looking for aconite actually. Normally I have some, but I seemed to have forgotten that on my list of things to get this summer." Skyler offered in explanation, shooting the blonde a sheepish grin.

“Ah, well then, Sky,” she said easily, walking down a row of plants and searching for the one the younger girl was after. “I know it’s around here somewhere…” While she searched, she thought she might try to get to know this girl a bit. After all, it was her nature to befriend everyone, even if it did unnerve a lot of the people she met.

The blonde picked through the plants, feeling at home as she got her hands dirty. “So, what are your ambitions, Skyler Riddle?” she asked with a small giggle. Using the girl’s full name was completely obnoxious, but whatever. It sounded funny being so formal, and that made her feel more at ease. Felicity liked to make situations feel light and happy.

“Hopefully they don’t include joining the renowned ‘slug club,’ since I’m pretty sure mucking up a potion so early in term is definitely not going to earn you any brownie points in that regard.” She laughed and rolled her eyes at the very thought. Felicity wasn’t much of a fan of Professor Slughorn. She wondered if many students were.

"Erm...no actually, that's not an ambition of mine." Skyler replied with a pinched face. She had been a little taken aback by the girls question, and formal reference to her name. And the absurd giggle made Skyler roll her eyes. She didn't like giggling. Or any sort. But she shrugged it off since the older girl was attempting to help her find the plant Skyler had already spotted. She wasn't such the idiot Felicity seemed to be under the impression she was, and Skyler was actually really good at potions, but Skyler was in no hurry to correct the girl. Even if she bristled slightly at the remark. She wanted to say that if she had wanted to be in some dumb club she could be, but she bit her tongue. It was better to allow the blonde to think whatever she thought currently of Skyler, even if it was a blow to the Slytherin's ego.

"I don't really care for being a teacher's pet, thanks." Skyler replied, a little bite in her tone. The blonde was beginning to get on her nerves. The brunette got the impression she might be a suck up, a mindless sheep. "And it's there." Skyler advised, nodding in the direction of the plant she needed, a smirk gracing her lips as she removed her lollipop from her mouth. "I'm not an idiot. I'm actually pretty good at potions. I just mucked this one because I've had a lot of things on my mind." She advised simply, her tone neither here or there.

Well then. This girl had a bit of an attitude problem, didn’t she? Felicity raised a brow at the candy as the child motioned to the plant she was searching for. The Hufflepuff removed her hands from the soil and wiped them carelessly on her jeans, huffing slightly and turning her gaze away from the girl with an air of superiority about her. “Well, if you are so talented I guess you can get your own supplies and be on your way,” she snapped. This was the second negative interaction she’d had recently and it was damned irritating. Why were so many females so… catty?

“You might want to focus on what’s important at any given time, however. Most professors are not very forgiving of mistakes made due to personal issues.” The way she said ‘issues’ made it clear that she thought this younger girl must have plenty. If she thought Felicity was a teacher’s pet just because she thought the other girl should pay more attention, then she was daft. The girl wanted to actually pass her classes with high enough marks to qualify for medical studies. She had a backup plan to study magical medicine after all, and that required top marks.

A teacher’s pet Felicity was not. A smart student, however, she definitely was. She glared at the girl and crossed her arms defiantly over her chest. She wouldn’t be helping someone who didn’t deserve any assistance. “I don’t recall many potions using aconite in fifth year…” she muttered in a questioning tone. She wasn’t sure if she actually believed the girl’s story after all. Perhaps she would have to inform her head of house after all.

Skyler smirked almost maliciously, which was a stark contrast to the normal fun grin usually on her face at any given time. She didn't take kindly to being treated like a child, especially by someone who was probably only a year or two older than her and who was looked upon as one herself. It was the superior attitude of the blonde, however, that really pushed her over the edge.

The brunette had had it up to here with these damn witches and their would be superior asses. This girl had just rubbed Skyler in one of the worst ways the Slytherin could be rubbed, and there was no turning back from that. Skyler was generally a people person, but this idiot girl would never be one of the people she liked. Her assumptions would get her into a lot of trouble eventually, and Skyler didn't mind being the starting point for that as she spotted the unlidded bucket of dragon dung fertilizer beyond the older girl.

"Don't mind if I do." Skyler replied sweetly in regards to collecting her own supplies. She made her way towards the plant she needed, and in the process shoulder the girl roughly, with enough force to have her off balance. With any luck the idiot would land in the bucket of dragon dung, where Skyler thought she belonged.

Felicity figured that the girl could gather her aconite and get out of the greenhouse. Then she could get her things together and get out of there herself. Something about the girl had her unnerved her, and she didn’t think she’d be able to focus on her studies any longer even if she tried. She was so lost in her own thoughts that she hadn’t realized the girl was coming at her until she felt the shoulder hit her. Hard.

“Hey!” she squealed, flailing her arms about much like a windmill as she willed herself not to fall over. Unfortunately for her, she was not exactly graceful. Felicity went toppling backwards, landing butt-first in a heaping bucket of what appeared to be dragon dung. Lovely.

Her face turned the brightest shade of pink as she felt the smelly substance soaking into her jeans. There was no way a simple scourgify was going to get all of it out. Felicity groaned, full on scowling at the younger girl. “Look what you did!” She wiggled her hips, trying to pry herself out of the bucket with absolutely no luck. “Don’t just stand there! Help me out of here.” Her voice was a low growl and her eyes flashed with hatred. She couldn’t believe this was happening. All she’d wanted was to finish up some diagrams. Was that so much to ask for?

Looking at the older girl now thrashing about in a pile of dung, Skyler laughed at a job well down. Served her right for thinking so highly of herself. Skyler thought it was an absolutely fitting punishment. She smirked at the blonde's scowl, not phased one bit by the older girl. At the demands she received, Skyler pretended to think about it.

"Umm...yea. No. I think I'll pass." She replied in a cheeky tone, walking back towards the door, only pausing when she was directly in from for the older girl. Skyler looked down on her with a self satisfied smirk, her purple eyes clearly showing her dislike. "There might not have been any potion containing aconite in your fifth year, but one would think you had noticed we had a new potions professor this year, so you might want to keep your ridiculous threats of tattling for first years, because that's obviously where you belong." With that, Skyler returned the blonde's look of hatred with her own and left her behind. She got what she came for and apparently made a new enemy while she was at it. Great. Like she needed that.

She was left in a pile of poo, feeling utterly alone and completely miffed. What, exactly, had Felicity done to deserve so many people disliking her so very much? She sighed, resigned to attempting to get out of the stupid bucket on her own. With some all-out flailing, the Hufflepuff eventually managed to knock the bucket over, toppling out of it and getting more dung on her pants and shirt. Great. That was just what she needed.

“Scourgify,” she muttered after removing her wand from her hair. It didn’t completely clean her off, but at least it made the stink less obvious and ensured that she wouldn’t track any of the muck to her dorm. Felicity grabbed her things and made her way up to the castle, muttering her displeasure the whole way. She needed a shower and she needed to get thoughts of the annoying little girl out of her mind. So much for a relaxing bit of studying.
